Bravo Vassily, from the bottom of my heart!

Primakov's Wanderer is like no other I have ever heard. He is in a class by himself, a mature artist with great ability and strong enunciation. His technique is flawless. Virtuosic.

Wanderer Fantasy is played powerfully by Vassily Primakov. I first heard it at 14 when my parents and I were invited to the home of a young pianist of 17 who was studying at Peabody, Allan Sternfield. It was a vivid experience and I will always associate Wanderer Fantasy with that initial experience. Allan Sternfield has since made his career in Israel and is Chairman of the Keyboard Department of the Jerusalem Academy of Music.

This is wonderful! Although concerts have opened by now, it is a privilege to see how they created this live performance without actual audience except digitally. This will be of historical interest - how concerts continued during the pandemic. Makes me think of Dame Myra Hess continuing to play in the midst of the bombing of London.

Vassily Primakov often played in our Juilliard evening class World of the Piano in the late 90s. He was superb then, and is superb now. So glad to have this concert.

Tune that piano!

I vividly recall Vasilly Primakov playing in our evening class at Juilliard. He was superb and I anticipated a major career. It is very difficult for a pianist to make a career. I am impressed with his perfect fluent American English. He is a fabulous talent.
