Barry likes to make things. He has a small foundry where non Ferris metals are cast and all sorts of items are welded. There is a wood working shop where his wooden projects are created. Home projects are ongoing like building custom steel gates and placing concrete walks. A houseboat floating on the Blood River has been the birth of many marine renovation projects and upgrades. His bride is quite the sculptor so there are lots of molds and art casts going on. And Barry was re purposing objects long before it was the cool thing to do.
A DIY Picnic Table inspired by Tom Silva but maybe a little more better.
The family has requested a picnic table for the country place. I used a design from a This Old house video and built own my version. I think it came out well and should last many years. Thanks for watchin!

Part 3 of a trail that was started last fall. In this video we cross the second powerline ditch and another shallow slew and dig, cut, and bulldoze a stretch through some thick hardwoods and meet up with a part of the trail I cut months ago. Lots of tractor footage, hope you enjoy!

First of all, I would like to apologize for yesterday's mess up. I posted part three with part two video and probably irritated over 100 people. Please forgive! Now in this correct part 3 video we dig the leach field back up to make it a little longer, remove the existing holding tank from under the cabin, and re-pipe for the new system. Our existing system of waste disposal using a 12v macerator pump has been working but it is a hands-on set up and the bride has been grumbling. So, a true septic gravity system has been under construction in my head for quite a while. Time to but all that thinking to use.

I started the treehouse build last winter when the trees were mostly bare. Come springtime I discovered a problem, one of the two trees I built around was not well. Like the coroner in The Wizard of Oz said, " it was not just merely dead, it was really quite sincerely dead". The old 16" tandem with the goofy trailer didn't get smaller, but the kids got bigger. With a little time on my hands, I decided to build another. This time no trailer, just a spot for a little one in the middle and an upgrade to 20" frames. There is a big difference between a 16" kiddie frame and a 20" BMX frame in terms of strength and rideability. Enjoy!

This is the second part of building our last trail. Once again under the powerlines we find mud, lots of mud. We started on this trail last fall and stopped work on it due to soft in Sutu materials. Now that the summer is drying things out, we are back at it again. Enjoy!
