This is the RUclips channel for Monkey Dix Adventures
In 2019, after many Years of big bikes I turned to the Honda Monkey and I haven’t looked back.
The purpose of this channel is to let people know how great and capable this little motorbike is.
If I can convince 1 person to try the humble Honda Monkey, then the channel has been a success, because once you try them, you are hooked.
The word Dix in Monkey Dix comes from a nickname I had (my name is Dean, so I was called Dixie or Dix after Dixie Dean)
So this channel is all about
- Capturing the fun of the Monkey
- Trying mad stuff
- Meeting fellow Monkey 🐒 riders
But mostly having a laugh. 😂

If you are thinking of renting a Quad on your Holidays, watch this. We rented a quad on Santorini from Nick the Greek. We found a fantastic road down to a secluded beach, it was like being on the set of a Western. The CForce 450L is a great little quad bike. Honda CT125, Honda Monkey bikes and a Dax join other Motorbikes for a trip to Doffcocker Lodge to cook food together outside. Then we visited the Doffcocker Inn, a mysterious Calendar pub with 365 widow panes, 4 floors, 12 cellar rooms, 7 bedrooms and 52 doors. We also tried some Green lanes and one of us had a crash. Video is looking clean and bright buddy! Good job. Just make sure you’ve got the FPS set to at least 30 frames per second otherwise it’s a bit jerky export as at least 30fps too. Higher is always better if possible, smoother video then

I could never get rid of my Monkey. The CT is a different riding experience...slower but really smooth with so much luggage capacity...have them both if you can.

@@hikerbikerallnightcamper1393when Dean got his they were fairly easy to get imported, but now I've heard the US has demanded all available stock to be sent to them or something so I imagine finding one over here has gotten harder!? (saying that, my mate bought one, was not wowed by it and ended up selling it, leaving him with just a C90 now 😮, his wife is still hanging onto hers for the time being and is quite happy with the size, weight, performance and carrying capacity ! 👍 hope you find one though I think the Ct110 looks nicer but is the older technology and carbs etc! 💁♂️
@@CrustyBiker hi buddy a few a on eBay local to me but they are asking upwards of £4500 do they come up cheaper do you know? I’m not on Facebook but maybe they come up cheaper there on the groups 🤔
@@hikerbikerallnightcamper1393 well that's about what my mate got for his and I think he had about 600 miles on it that's 1st service time which he did do on it, they were about a grand more than a monkey new but you were also getting the shipping and paperwork sorted that would be a headache if you weren't in the know, but import was the only way you could have one in this country, if anyone does sell theirs I can't see it going for much less than that because they are rare here and they will sell, personally I don't think they have as much character as a monkey or dax but it is more practical that's for sure, some people class them as the best vehi le in the world ruclips.net/video/2FAg859YjXo/видео.htmlfeature=shared

I’d used it in a previous video with some sellotape to get a better angle with my pocket 2. 🤣

@@monkeydixadventures fair enough. All ive been doing over past few months is working almost every day 😂😂. Wanted to save up a grand or two to buy a car, still keeping motorcycle, car is just for winter, got fed up with itchy bum moments going up my hill when its covered in ice.

Good effort for getting out there and doing it, slippery road by the look if it, looks like you've taken some clothes layering tips from Alan Bonney lol 💁♂️😅
We rode it again on Saturday, in blue skies. I've passed it before in rough weather and sideways rain but never had grip issues. That first climb where you dropped it is a bit of a wall, I expect it would need a bit of momentum on the Monkey. Always best to hang back to let people clear each bit to avoid these situations.
I have learned my lesson. When I took a run up it wasn't a problem....VIVA
This is why I like to stay towards the front on these things as you don’t get stuck in a tailback on the dangerous bits. Good save though, could have been a lot worse, the car after you was slipping too, could hear the wheels. Viva ✊🏼

Shap Wells was where the shining was filmed. Not alot of people know that 😂 45yr ago steam driver I worked with said the monument was to commemorate queen Victoria used to stay to get....Well you know....impregnated 😂 Can see the memorial from railway
Nice try Charlie, I know it isn’t, but we did mention the Shining whilst we were there. The Hotel is ace, but stuck in the 1970’s…..just as we like it.
