    you guys have very enjoyable trails in bc, its always a pleasure to watch. i just got a brand new 2022 klx 300r. it was on clearance so i jumped on it, i did a 6 hours drive to get this bike. i'm going to mod it this winter so it will be ready for next season. i'm going to add better pegs, fmf pipe, handguards, headlight, stiffer springs and possibly a bigger tank. if you think i should do more mods im open to suggestions. im planning to often do weekend expeditions, your videos inspired me to do that.

      @@endurobanditoh well i didn't know, i'm a quebec frog and i'm pretty sure we're using distance here. anyway 4 hours is good enough. is the dual sport version as capable as the 300r in the trails you think ? i don't have a truck but the trails are close to my place so i'm debating getting the dual sport instead of the R. im a beginner and a bit ignorant on all the models and their capabilites, last time i rode a dirt bike i was 10 years old on a TTR 90 and after that i rode only quads.

    • @BlazebeatRacing
      @BlazebeatRacing 2 дня назад

      @@tarantula-man The dual sport version is not as good because the tires aren't as grippy on dirt. It also has less punch than the dirt bike version because of the "secondary throttle plate" which can be removed which is a difficult task (there are DIY videos on RUclips). If you are just doing forest service roads, and regular quad trails, it won't have a problem. But definitely not suitable for singletrack. Are you running stock gearing? Also for these kind of rides what bike do you prefer the klx300r or yz250x? Which bike would you choose if you could only keep one? Reason asking, I enjoy this type of riding in the video and single track stuff. Currently have a cr250r 2 stroke but really wanting to pull the trigger on getting a klx300r. But only really have space to keep one bike.

    • @endurobandit

      Stock gearing on the KLX, But slightly tighter gearing than stock on the YZ250X (+1 tooth rear sprocket). I prefer the YZ250X for jumps, sandy areas (the KLX struggles on sand/mud/gravel), and singletrack. I prefer the KLX for adventure/exploration rides, camp-out rides, rides that are 3+ hours (lasts 1 hour longer on a tank), riding in the evening (headlight), casual rides (The YZ prefers to be ridden faster), and rides where I know there is going to be very bumpy, rocky hill climbs (the YZ struggles on those due to tall gearing and less low-end torque). The YZ250X is my favourite though because it's rowdy and FAST.

    there is risk with both style hand guards for sure. I personally prefer the pedal style because they will bend out of the way if you go over your handlebars instead of break your wrist like the full wrap ones can. The pedal style handguards support arms are typically made from a strong but flexible plastic. Another advantage of pedals is they glance off of trees a bit better instead of grabbing your bars and jerking them.

    • @endurobandit
      @endurobandit Месяц назад

      @EarthSurferUSA 11 дней назад

      I designed a full wrap that can be set up the most rigid, but also can be set up to twist on the bar. It is compact (looks like a set of flag style from the front), light, does not effect the bar dynamics, but I can't find interest from the companies for a simple deal. Can't get anybody on the phone for a conversation today even.

    Hey Enduro Bandit! Wicked scenery out there. I've got a 2023 KLX300R. Would you be willing to make and sell me an aluminum clutch case cover from your previous videos? I'd cover shipping and whatever is fair for time and materials. If that's something you're interested in, let me know! Please keep the awesome videos coming. I'm looking forward to when you get your exhaust pipe. Cheers from Alberta

      @@shanebrady8776 Thanks man! If you have a dremel and a jigsaw they are pretty easy to make from aluminum. But it did take me a few hours of labour. I’m too busy to make more at this time.

    How many hours does the top end usually last on one of these?

    • @endurobandit
      @endurobandit 2 месяца назад

      They recommend doing it by 80hours. But I see a lot of people waiting until 100hours, though it’s risky to wait that long.

    Just a suggestion but get some proper mx boots. I had a crash about four years ago wearing work boots. Broke my ankle and in a cast for 8 weeks. I never ride without my boots since. You kinda got lucky with that tree. Glad to see no injuries. Stay safe

    • @endurobandit
      @endurobandit 2 месяца назад

      @@waqas-xs5bn ok, I was assuming you had little to no experience riding. Your first bike should help you gain confidence on the trails. No point having a powerful bike if it scares you. But if you’ve already cut your teeth riding, then maybe you can handle a 300. I don’t think you’d like picking up such a heavy bike though. I’d recommend something lighter like a WR250 or other 250 that isn’t geared for motocross.

    After a few mods to flavor to taste, I'm still loving my original 2020 model. I just wish there was a better aftermarket tank option than the underwhelming one IMS is asking four bills for.
