GIZ in Nepal
Nepal is a priority country for German Development Cooperation. As a federally owned agency, the Deutsche Gesellschaft fuer Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) supports the German Government in achieving its objectives in international cooperation for sustainbale development. GIZ and its predecessor agencies have been active in Nepal since the 1970s. In Nepal, GIZ mainly works on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), but also other German ministries as well as European Union and Government of Finland. GIZ supports the Nepali Government and civil society organizations in the implementation of different projects in the following priority sectors:

The GRAPE Project: Highlights and Achievements
This video features the implementation phase of the GRAPE Project focused on improving framework conditions to achieve climate resilience across 19 project municipalities in Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. Over the project period, small-holder farmers have been empowered with Climate Resilient Agriculture (CRA) measures resulting in increased income and agricultural productivity. As the project concludes, these achievements mark considerable progress towards sustainable development goals in the region.
