This massive storm system came through at roughly 6:50 AM local, bringing 60 mph winds, torrential rain, intense lightning, and a few tornadoes as well. It also knocked out our electricity for 12 hours.

Apparently you've never seen a severe thunderstorm with staccato lightning. This isn't even a fraction thereof.
You don't know if they have been in a severe thunderstorm or not...why do you assume that? They posted this video cause they wanted too...I live in Texas and have been through a lot of severe thunderstorms and a couple of tornados...I have been in Texas all my life 57 yrs...

Wow that was one violent thunderstorm, audio quality aside still a great storm, a proper thunderstorm if there is such a term lol, as we don't get them like that here where I am in the UK, still a great video.

Now THIS is my kinda storm! Loud, bright, soaks you till you beg for mercy.... I miss these types of storms! Where i luve(Sheboygan, Wisconsin), we dont get too many impressive storms like this. Was this storm tornado warned?
