    Nice man! Any reason you chose the plate mounted SRO cut over the RDOMS? Thinking about sending my slide to impact machine works. Saw your short and I want to do similar mods to my SP 01- that's a great looking set-up!

    • @hai.d.nguyen
      @hai.d.nguyen 7 месяцев назад

      My rear suppressor height sights is part of the mounting plate that the SRO sits on. If you don't need backup irons, the RDOMS is a great option. Now that I've purchased more pistols and use the SP01 purely for competition in the carry optics USPSA division, I would have probably just do the RDOMS optics cut -- if i could do it all over again.

    After checking Honda's site, i was expecting the regular Civic EX to have a type R engine but unfortunately it did not. It did ok around willow springs racetrack but not compared to my Honda Civic type R with a Type R Engine which was way faster around the track and better handling.... Kevin, if you're a collector/enthusiast, yes -- i highly recommend it. This is my favorite rifle especially after upgrading the trigger to a CMC trigger (2.5lb pull weight). I wanted to use it for PCC competition but realize I would be at a big disadvantage since the KALI-9 is heavy (even after removing the faux suppressor). The mags aren't as quick to feed as the AR platform and this doesn't have last round bolt hold open. For competition use, can't say i recommend it. For self defense and for the cool factor, hell yes i recommend it.

    How did yall like shooting the P238, especially how was the recoil? Wondering if my wife could handle it.

    • @hai.d.nguyen
      @hai.d.nguyen 10 месяцев назад

      My wife likes her Browning 1911-22 more. Since it is chambered in 22LR, there is minimal recoil. However, the p238's recoil (380 ACP) is very manageable. Compared to any 9mm pistol, it is less snappy and with minimal muzzle flip even for a micro pistol. Love the trigger and the 1911 design. The small design makes it the perfect everyday CCW.

    I am really surprised with all the malfunctions you encountered with the Glock 19. This was a good reliability test, but as for accuracy you really can’t compare , because of the optic on the 19. The Ruger performed extremely well with no malfunctions and it was pretty accurate with the iron sights. If you don’t mind me asking what kind of ammunition were you running in the Glock 19, because we all know Glocks are usually 100% reliable.

      i was running fiochi 115grains. i recently figured out my issue. when i was installing the internals in the arc division slide, i didn't seat the sleeve over the firing pin all the way into the slide. I used a tool for the sleeve and hit with a rubber mallet. Also swapped out the aftermarket firing pin assembly with the original OEM one. Both changes resolved my light primer strikes and I no longer have any malfunctions

    • @hai.d.nguyen
      @hai.d.nguyen 10 месяцев назад

      I tested 115 grains. I was having malfunctions caused by the plastic sleeve that goes over the firing pin assembly. Once I used the tool to fully seat the sleeve deeper, I stopped having light strikes. Both 15lb and 17lb springs worked.
