🇯🇵[4K HDR] Walk Japan Residential Area Meiji Oita #japantravel #ruraljapan #japanvlog
Now that the heat has subsided in September, I will start shooting walking videos again.
In this video, it may seem like I'm walking faster than usual.
Instead, I changed my camera lens to an ultra-wide-angle lens.
By doing so, I think you will feel a considerable sense of speed.
You will feel the sense of speed as if you were riding a bicycle.
Please enjoy the fun of ultra-wide-angle lenses!

I walked the real walking course that I usually walk. I also filmed videos of the junior high school I went to every day. This is a video of about 50 minutes from dawn. This is a view of a very ordinary housing complex in Japan. This is a residential area created in the 1970s when the Nippon Steel Oita Works was built. Enjoy the morning scenery of a quiet and average Japanese residential area, ...

I went to Tashibunosho in Bungotakada City, Oita Prefecture, Japan. You can see a rural landscape that has remained unchanged since the Heian period (A.D.794-1185). This area has been designated as a Nationally Important Cultural Landscape of Japan as well as a World Agricultural Heritage Site. The first scene shows the rice field in mid-July. It was lively with dragonflies, frogs, and birds. T...

Starting from the train depot, a residential area with many apartments, an urban planning road with bridge piers, a leisurely train track, relaxing crows, a beautiful morning sky, and the Oita River. As you probably know, when children in Japanese elementary schools finish studying, they clean their classrooms before going home. Neither the teachers nor the cleaners help. It's just the kids doing it. We encourage children to respect the classroom where they learn, and to develop a sense of valuing things. Through cleaning, we also purify our hearts. Therefore, many Japanese people do not throw garbage on the road. Because they know the hardships of people who pick up trash. Well, some people are throwing it away these days... Japanese education, especially discipline, has become lax after the war. If we don't do something, we will be driven away by bad currency. We need to regain the beautiful Japanese spirit.

    Is that life is easier living in a condominium?

    • @LETSSEE555
      @LETSSEE555 2 месяца назад

      I think it is financially easier for young people who don't have much savings to live in an apartment rather than building a house. They don't have to take on big debts. It seems that many young people live in the apartment complexes that appear in this video😊

      @LETSSEE555 you don't need to take care of the repair and maintenance yourself. Or take care of the snow and flooding. And maybe safer too as it's less likely for people to break in through the windows 😀

    • @LETSSEE555
      @LETSSEE555 2 месяца назад

      It's certainly convenient for apartment dwellers as they don't have to do any repairs or maintenance. Basically, there aren't many thieves in Japan, so I think you'll be fine no matter what kind of house you live in. Japan is prone to many disasters such as earthquakes and typhoons, so only houses that can withstand them can be built. After a major earthquake occurred in the Kansai region in 1995, earthquake resistance standards changed, making every house more durable. The building is designed so that it will not collapse even if it is damaged by an earthquake of magnitude 6 to 7.

    • @LETSSEE555
      @LETSSEE555 2 месяца назад

      The train is running, but the station is far away.😵‍💫 In regional cities, there are no subways and the railway network is not dense, so it is ultimately more convenient to travel by car.😃

    • @katykay2761
      @katykay2761 2 месяца назад

      @LETSSEE555 😄 the government can have bus routes connecting the residential areas and the train stations. But maybe because Japan is a car manufacturing country. The government wants to encourage people to buy more cars. Do you think that's the case? 😃

    • @LETSSEE555
      @LETSSEE555 2 месяца назад

      In fact, there are two private bus companies in this city that operate many route buses. In the past, when there were no private cars, everyone used buses frequently, but as people's incomes rose and it became possible to own a car, everyone started buying cars. In the past, bus companies used to be profitable, but now they are breathing a sigh of relief. As you say, Japan's automobile industry is certainly thriving. However, I feel that ordinary Japanese people who had increased their incomes took the initiative to buy cars. I believe that the Japanese automobile industry was successful in sales because it was able to grasp the needs of the Japanese people. I think it's because Toyota, Nissan, Honda, and others were able to manufacture small cars that fit the country's narrow land, cheap, low-breakage, and fuel-efficient cars that people started buying cars all together. I think it's because supply and demand matched.

I'm just an ordinary person who can be found anywhere. I just talk about what I learned in school, what I read in books, what I saw on TV, and what I Googled.😆 Maybe I just like knowing. Going back to the topic, there are certainly farmers in Japan who grow vegetables and fruits in addition to rice cultivation. There are farmers who make a living from it. However, it seems that it cannot compete with cheap foreign products. Japan has limited land to begin with, so large-scale agriculture is not possible like in other countries. So they cannot produce cheap crops. This is the weakness of Japanese agriculture. Vegetables and fruits are also grown, but I think most of them are grown on a small scale for farmers to eat themselves. Have I made myself clear? Thanks a lot!

    • @LETSSEE555
      @LETSSEE555 2 месяца назад

      Previously, this area was mostly rice fields. However, rice paddies gradually disappeared due to factors such as the lack of income from agriculture, the development of secondary and tertiary industries after the Greater East Asia War, and the increased demand for housing for people engaged in those industries. The number of houses increased. Some farmers sell their rice fields, while others earn income by building apartments. I've heard that some farmers open coin-operated laundromats as a tax measure.

      @@LETSSEE555 I always heard that the Indian kids are very smart students because they usually win the Spelling Bees in America. Are the students in Japan hard working too? 😃

      During the Edo period (1603-1868), Japanese children learned letters. The characters are kanji, hiragana, and katakana. Since this is a long time ago, there are various theories, but it is said that when the literacy rate in London was 20% and the literacy rate in Paris was 10%, the Japanese literacy rate was between 50% and 60%. It is said that in Edo (now Tokyo) the rate was probably over 70%. This is because at that time in Japan, there were always many temples in every village and town, and there was a habit of learning letters from childhood. Farmer's children were also learning to write. It is said that the high literacy rate in Edo was due to the large number of samurai and merchants living there. It is said that there was no samurai who could not write. In addition, the children learned how to use a calculator called an abacus and how to write letters using a brush called calligraphy. Children in Japan today are learning a lot of things, but this is not something that just started.

      Sorry for my late reply. Thank you for writing down your impressions. So it will be helpful. Please feel free to tell me more in the future. Shooting this video made me realize once again that there are many things in my neighborhood. A small but old shrine. A big but new stadium. The shrine was founded in 1172. One of the stone torii gates was built in 1736. In 2002, the FIFA World Cup was held at this stadium. Tunisia vs Belgium. Mexico vs Italy. Sweden vs Senegal. Three matches were held. Italy's Del Piero scored one goal. I realized that local cities also have various histories. I think there are still many things in the neighborhood, so I would like to take videos of them. Thank you for your good advice. By the way, what is Green Bird? Do you mean my light camper?

      @LETSSEE555 the green bird at point 23:38 😄 and thank you you've just answered some of my questions. I can't believe the stadium was built some 20 years ago. It still looks very modern. What is it used for right now? 😃

      @@katykay2761 This green bird is a mascot character named Mejiron, and it supports Oita Prefecture.😃 Soccer matches are still held at this stadium, and it is used as the home stadium of the professional soccer team Oita Trinita.⚽ The black building next door is a martial arts hall. In addition to judo and kendo, volleyball, basketball, table tennis, and badminton are also held.
