I hate this ball in med- heavy oil. its worthless unless you wipe the hell out of it. I bought a Hammer black widow nasty that out performs this ball in every way

Poor comparison with the camera off to the right on the wood shots but more centered with synthetic. =/ Can see the oil pattern on wood but not on synth. however. My hook fails when I run into typically overly dry beat up wood on weekends (too much hook). Synth seems to do better. The GYRO is rated highly tho and my amatuer/rec. status means I don't have a 2nd lesser ball yet.

Won't play on synthetic if I can help it.

A far more relevant comparison would be a hard rubber ball or a polyester ball on both lanes. Put a piece of tape on them to see if you can get it to roll properly, and compare your score with your average using "modern" balls. Now THAT'S a comparison I'd like to see!

I hate synthetic lanes so much! I was Brought up on real wood and i can predict how the ball will roll everytime but i was just introduced to synthetic last year. Not only can't i predict how the ball will role as well but i also can't bowl as well :(

I have this ball laid out close to what is on the video. Excellent ball! The reaction and roll is more like a ball with a symmetrical core. On a 42ft THS with 23 units of oil on older synthetics it has a bit more back end than what you see in the video. (I have a similar ball speed and rev rate as the bowler in the video). For heavier oil I knock off the polish with 2k abralon and I'm good to go.

It was bowled on wood lanes with Guardian Overlay The Guardian Shows where the ball is tracking and also shows how accurate you are too.

We liked the Mutant Cell Pearl all though it can be a little squirty we adjusted the coverstock with a 2000 abralon to smooth it out and works really well.

is the mutant pearl better than the rogue? was thinking about getting one of the two

@sh4rkbyt3 I been a lane man for over 30 years and it is not as easy as you think to set up a pair of lanes. This is a misconception of bowlers that have no clue... They think push a magic button and it will make me strike every time.. Remember wood is harder to conidtion that synthetic lanes. These videos are only a reference - If they help that is great! if not I guess you make your own video.

you can literally see on the lane where your ball goes everytime.

not to sure about the shot on the lane. but the ball picks up alot of roll and basiclly just makes a left turn and it hardly had any revs on it. getting mine drilled cant wait to throw it.

Thanks for the upload. This is the only video that I know of that does /not/ show the Reign being hooked to an extreme. We decided to buy one after seeing that it's possible to smooth out the motion. We're looking for some snap and hook, but not /all/ the time and not gutter-to-gutter. heh Nice bowling.

.......its a pin down ball which means its gonna start up early..not so much a strong layout and it also depends on the bowler and if there a high rev player or low rev player. tweener stroker or cranker

If you doctor ANY lanes you can get the ball to do what you want. Medium to oily condition lanes 35' pattern even with heavy oil it never reads and dies right after the middle with almost no solid recovery at all.

comparing a ball on wood and synthetic lanes is retarded. the volume of oil, length of the pattern and how the oil is applied to the surface is more important than the surface itself.

they dont look like synthetic lanes might be wrong, but it is weird to see the ball track on the lane

Nice to see how some of these high-performance balls will work with a low-rev player. My release and speed are a lot like yours, but I'm getting my Jigsaw Corner drilled with pin up, as I bowl in heavy oil all the time. But I'm hoping to play the same type of line like you show. Thanks.

Wow I have a Full Swing myself and never noticed the ball visibly cutting a line through the oil. This ball is my benchmark ball for the first opening frames and I'm hoping to get a Pure Swing to supplement this one.
