Roasting a Whole Chicken in a Zebra Billy Can over the Firebox stove
Roasting a whole chicken in a Zebra Billy Can over the Firebox stove
The Fierbox stove is an amazing option for roasting / baking when cooking outdoors. Its made out of stainless steel and is practically indestructible. This was my first attempt and worked out perfectly. I'll definitely be utilizing it more and more.
The Zebra Billy can fits perfectly on the stove and is large enough to fit a whole (small) chicken. The coal rack fits securely on top and holds enough coals to make an oven effect. Something such as cooking beads is necessary to distribute the heat evenly and stop the bottom of the roasting pan from burning your food.
Using briquettes allows you to control the heat and is rec...

How To - Pork Belly On The Weber Go Anywhere With Perfect Crackling - Argentinian Asado Style
Просмотров 20 тыс.3 года назад
In this video I show you how I cook pork belly with perfect crackling on the Weber Go Anywhere. I use a grill basket wedged between the base and the lid to create an Argentinian Asado style cook (don't bite my head off....I use the term "Asado style" loosely). Pat dry the pork belly, score the fat side and apply a generous amount of salt. Refrigerate and leave for a least a couple of hours. Rem...
How To - Bacon Wrapped Chicken Lollipops & Potato Bombs on the Weber Kettle

Video showing you how to cook bacon wrapped chicken lollipops and potato bombs on the Weber Kettle Potato Bombs: The process involves hollowing out the center of a pealed potato using an apple corer. Cutting off the ends of the hollowed out core will provide a plug for filling the void with whatever you like. I fry chopped onion and bacon in some butter and use this as the filling. Season the o...
How To - Vertical Roasted Chicken With Spiral Potatoes On The Weber Kettle
Просмотров 1,8 тыс.3 года назад
Showing you how to vertically roast a chicken on the Weber kettle. I also cook my version of spiral potatoes on skewers. The chicken: Its basically a "beer can chicken" without the beer can. I've tried "beer can chicken" numerous different ways and still think its better without the can. Cooking the chicken vertically allows it to cook quicker and more evenly. You'll notice how tender and juicy...

How To - Rack of Lamb on the Weber Go-Anywhere
Просмотров 87 тыс.3 года назад
Video showing how I cook a rack of lamb on my Weber Go-Anywhere. I created dual zones that allowed for indirect cooking by simply using a thick foil try that I flattened and placed between the briquettes and the meat. The fat side of the rack was scored before seasoning with a salt, pepper and garlic mix (SPG). I removed the meat around the 135F mark, quickly seared the fat side and then felt t...

Folding Fire Pit with Grill Plate - BBQ Chicken
Просмотров 8843 года назад
My 1st ever RUclips video......would appreciate some feedback. Testing my new no-name folding stainless steel fire pit from eBay. It was a lot cheaper than branded ones available and from what I can tell they are identical. I cook and basic dry rubbed chicken that ended up cooking a little fast. I should have left the coals burn down some more. To help it cook evenly I placed my Weber kettle li...

people usually reverse sear for a nice rare or medium rare...you could have roasted it traditionally and saved time with a better sear and still achieved your 145°F?

I have exactly the same things including the table and the Opinel knife lol, I bought the table several years ago, took forever to get here, that was when it first came out and I liked it so much I have 3 now, they were very inexpensive then although well constructed and I use them camping, picnics, beach etc. The only thing I need are the beads and I’ll make some chicken pieces since is just for me it would be too much left over. Excellent video thanks!

You need to allow the skin to dry for at least 12 hours before you oil and salt. You also want high heat at the beginning, and then low heat towards the end. Having a naked flame directly on the skin has burnt it as is evident by the scorch marks.
