I make the parts out of PETG which is slightly flexible compared to other common plastics. It has held up over 10k California miles in my own car to date.

@@hardhikesA long term report on that would be useful. Have you driven on washboard dirt roads for any serious length? Having to raise the whole cargo floor isn't great, unless some models of spares don't require that.

This mounting method will fit the full size tire as well, but you’ll need to raise the cargo floor by an extra 3 inches then I show in tue video with a spacer.

Today I've got the FULL size spare standing vertical, against the LHS-sidewall, not bad, but YOUR MOUNT-BLOCK will be a better option. I'll buy one. THANKs for that quick reply. .

Seriously don't understand how they think that this is okay to not include a spare in the Hybrid model. Absolutely wild.

@@hottpinkpenguin Well, full-size spares are a thing of the past due to weight, space & cost. The donuts really aren't great ... driving should be quite limited on those things. The repair kits *do* work for the typical nail/screw puncture. If you really wanted protection for an "unsealable" tire, I might consider run-flats.

No original parts are modified with this kit and it is a no drill/drop in install. It's up to the manufacturer to show that the aftermarket kit caused a problem. To be safe, the kit can be easily removed and the original foam block replaced before bringing the vehicle in for service.

I've only beaten it on scourge in a team match because another person with Forge carried the team. I think this build would beat it on scourge if I was lucky enough to get the right upgrades again because none of the units die and get converted to the other side.

I designed the mount to repurpose the empty space under the cargo area like most sedans and hatchbacks. I would consider making a side mount if I ever needed to fit a second tire in the back.

Thank you! I don’t have a similar addon for the Prius due to not having a Prius to measure. If the Prius has a similar cable lever and bracket, this may work with some adjustments.

In addition to my blog post on the headunit, my code is at github.com/ansonl/FordACP-AUX. I have some other posts on mechanical maintenance on the Escape hybrid but did not get enough time over that years to make another post on the locks. I wired the key fob button to a relay on another arduino shield that also had a bluetooth dongle for the lock video. Then I sent a bluetooth message with a pin (through a custom app) to the arduino in the car to trigger the key fob (that's also in the car).

@@hardhikes thank you! I have a Crown Vic and am going to do ACP AUX soon with a shield a buddy gave me. I was just intrigued by the locks also. My car didn’t come with keyless entry, I had to do some programming to enable it.

I never had a chance to check if the track name could be set since my stock cd changer did not work. I've only set the elapsed time on the screen, but I wouldn't be surprised if there was support in the protocol for track name.

Depending on how consistent extrusion is for the object you are printing, you don’t need to modify the 2.75mm hotend for 1.75mm. I recommend getting a hotend/nozzle or printcore with a 1.75mm-2mm inner diameter to reduce the filament play in the print head to avoid clogs. I converted my Ultimaker 1.75 with the DXU printhead that you can get more info for at github.com/ansonl/DXU

Most Android phones use specific resistances instead of shorted sequences to distinguish between play/pause/forward/back. Android phones don't need the special Apple authentication chip. I have this same machforce 2 screwdrive and mine makes the same noise at the point where the 2 rods connect to each other, I doble checked and everything is installed by the instructions.

@@GenieCompany I contact you already and the operator gave me instructions to move the door in lot of different ways and than after she couldn't figure out anything else she told me to take the whole thing apart and re assemble everything and then call again if the noise continues

@@budsak7771 I installed mine between 2 & 3 like they said. One door opens without any noise and the other makes a single pop when the carriage rides over the collar and clip joint.
