I've come to realize it's not just a game, it's therapy. These moments when the music kicks in and the camera pans out.. I forget about reality for a moment. Total immersion.

im sorry i really just cant get into the game. i really enjoyed that begining part carrying your mom to the incenerator but when your done and back their like yeah no go walk over here and you realize thats the whole game. walking back and forth. i like the story too but cant bring myself to walk around that game

The game is like some films. You get it, or you don't. It also is a game that might need to find you at the right time in your life. Maybe something happens in your life where when you play the game, those same notes and beats that missed you the first time, land.

When you struggle in death standing then find out Ryan is gone and you listened to his music struggling in a game.

THIS. this is the reason I love death stranding so much. It is not for everyone, and that is ok, but these simple yet impactful moments make the games grind worth it. It’s a game about solitude and helping other players without directly interacting with them. I only hope that in the sequel we are able to play music while making deliveries because goddamn the soundtrack adds so much more to the overall experience. Thank you hideo for creating a game that got me through a lot of tough times.

At the same time as being cinematic, it's also a very zen-inspired game. And I love it for that.

The soundtrack really adds to this scene, especially when the piano swells when Chief says "we all fail". I've watched this scene so many times I've memorized the quotes, yet still get teary eyes each time. I like that the pilot says, "this is all I've got" only for Chief to say, "it's all we need". I dunno why, that exchange always gets me

It’s been over a year since I’ve played Death Stranding, which I never finished- it is a time consuming game! But it’s such a GOOD game. I fell in love with it immediately, and my memories of it are fantastic. It really sticks with me. It has such a powerful mood, and there’s so much to do. I loved being “The Man who Delivers.” It’s in my “Valhalla” stack- games I am not playing but hope to play again one day, and have nothing but great feeling for.

I've heard that some people like to drink pee, but surely that doesn't make it a fantastic, top 3, life experience.

Even if it’s a walking simulator, I can see walking as a lot of life metaphors. The simplest of them: walking is quite literally just walking A to B and trying to enjoy a harsh ride

Same for me. After bringing the corpse to the crematory I run into bunch of BT as the weather has changed. I barely made it running through the tar and rested leaned on a rock with BB. I felt really exhausted. One of the most memorable moments in my 40 years gaming history. This game is truly art.

How to do it, turn on fps boost then when in generations go to 360 dashboard go to xbox one x enhancements and select graphics (no need for perfrmance since fps boost is on so u can have good graphics and 60 fps at the same time only if u have a series s or x) (if on one x u can only have good graphics enhancement selected but have 30fps or og graphics with 60fps cos fps boost not on one x)

I really do not see the appeal to this game. For people who like to walk but are afraid to do it in real life? You might sweat? Or maybe they're simps for Norman. Theyve watched too many episodes of Walking Dead.

I wish we could choose the songs. Every time finnaly a song starts in my playtrough its starting to rain en makes the song stop. From the 10 songs i only heard 2 more then 25%

This game sucks

It sucks that you can't play music whenever you want while playing. Oftentimes I got interrupted by BT rainfall and the music stops playing :(

That is the exact moment the game clicked for me....such amazing beginning and song.

My favorite music-meets-the-scenery moment was after that first brutal climb up and over the mountain where you first encounter the BTs. And then on the other side is that long walk down to the city/port below. I'd never felt such an emotional moment from playing a video game before.

This was a game I went with zero expectation on enjoying it. But decided to buy it anyway on a whim. It's by far the game that surprised me the most. I was so hooked to it... I couldn't count the hours to get back home and play this game. Unfortunately I don't think this is a game for a 2nd playtrough. At least for me... But man what a ride this was

It’s been a while tho This game was such an amazing journey I’ve yet to talk to any of my gaming friends who beat it Top 10 experiences in gaming for me and I’ve been going hard on single player games since n64…

Gave up playing this the first time round then came back and became completely addicted honestly it’s a masterpiece can’t wait for number 2 .

You have been walking through mules, through BTS, through timefalls, it's been days.. You have walked up the mountains, down the rivers, the distant incinerator tower is looking bigger than before, closer than it was days ago. The fogs from the top of the tower slowly disappears as you get closer and then.. then the camera zooms out, the world becomes bigger as Sam Norman Feetus becomes smaller, the universe feels slow as the river flows, and you see a text on the screen saying Low Roar while the music starts to play in the background. You just experienced Death Stranding.
