The amp on the left is a mono amp driving the subwoofer only. The amp on the right is a four channel amp most likely driving the door speakers. Welcome to the car audio community!

The HD amps are regulated, so they produce the same power with a variety of impedances. I’d do it in series to present a 4ohm load to the amp, just to be safe.

I recently picked one of these up and to be honest, there is definitely more output when comparing with the 10tw3, but the 12tw3 has the edge on this sub imo. The 13tw5 is a more "transparent" bass, it can still bump and rattle but idk, the tw3 has more presence than the tw5. They're both excellent subs though

@@Mad21X yeah a pair of these would slam from 20 to 45hz and with windows open you could probably feel down to 10hz

Bad thing about them is that they must be in sealed boxes. I like ported boxes.

I have a pair of 12” JL W1V2s and the same JL sealed box. and also bought a older groundshaker for two ported 12s, they ran on either a memphis 500w at 2 ohms, then upgraded to a Skar 800.1D at 600W at 2 ohms. I have a ‘08 Mercedes S550 so trunk is a literal room sealed from cabin Sealed with the Memphis amp, it was perfect even considering the sealed trunk. Didn’t have an issue other than too high volume, my amp cut off (skill issue). But I was very happy with the 500w amp inside the sealed box, it was the perfect middle ground for someone who’d just want great subs to pair with very clear speakers. When swapping to ported box i also made the decision of swapping to the skar amp halfway through its life. so I ran both the memphis 500w and 600w with the ported box. at 500w, the bass was quieter than it used to be, volume level or bass knob had to be turned up to compensate for loss. Once I hit the sweet spot though, The lows from these subwoofers hit like crazy. Swapping to 600w, it helped compensate for the “loss” i had experienced from the first amp, but it also made the subs hit harder all around. But this isn’t about amps, it’s about boxes. I loved the sealed box for its compact size, but also with how hard it hit and how great it sounded. It didn’t have that deep bass feeling, but you definitely heard it from inside the cabin no matter what frequency. With the ported box, the W1s get louder, everyone can hear it no matter inside or out. But I lost a lot of clear sound, I’m not saying it sounded dirty, but you can tell that the air being pushed didn’t help with preserving the sound quality. But they still shook the car 2x better than the sealed. so really ported = all the bass, it’s gonna shake your mirrors and def your seats,, but maybe a little muddy sound, more power doesn’t help completely, but assists with the loss from sealed -> ported sealed = great sound quality, not seat shaking at all, but looking at your mirrors they all shake. in any car application, these subs would add more sound than feeling. In the future, I want my W1s back inside the sealed box with my 500w amp, and a pair of W3s for my groundshaker box with the 800w amp.

Yo tengo los dos TW5 y TW3. Definitivamente el TW5 suena mas fuerte. Lo malo es que no se les recomienda ser usados en cajones/enclosures porteados.

A mí me gusta más como pega las notas más bajas el TW3, eso y con un cajón ventilado retumba bien fregón

El TW5 pega el bajo mas profundo mientras que la resonancia del TW3 es mas prolongada dentro de un enclosure porteado. Yo tengo tres TW5 y un TW3 en my camioneta. El TW3 (porteado) complementa excelente la profundidad de los TW5. Los cuatro están juntos en la misma estructura pero separados por divisiones... TW5 sellados y el TW3 porteado.

Not even close lol. This sub is optimized to work in a 0.8 cft sealed enclosure, not recommended for ported enclosures.

no it's not enough because each sub is only geting 325 wrms max and probably less with box rise but the subs are rated for 50 0wrms. need 1 more 750/1 on this system. they have 19mm excursion and are barely moving.
