After shower spray that I use, I get from Grove, because it is chemical free,, you spray the whole shower when you are finished with your shower. I let it sit while I get out and dry off and lotion my self, then I take the shower wand and spray the shower walls and the tub down using a rag to wipe it as I go just to make sure all the areas are touched... some people just spray and rinse and that's it. I love mine. Once a month I do a deeper clean.

I thought that this would include cleaning out the belt channel back to the motor since belt damage tends to happen there. There is usually a lot of pet hair as well as black rubber dust or shreds and the idler pulley on these models are prone to melting rubber and plastic when the attachments do not disable the belt from turning the two spindle brushes. Trying to figure out how the belt goes around or on the idler since I am doing a good neighbor thing and the belt is missing. And boy, the Hoover you cleaned was pretty clean compared to-armed to the extremely nasty one I am trying to work on, a.k.a., I don’t think it has ever been cleaned in the seven years she has had it. 😢
