Canzona 2 a Quattro by Giovanni Gabrieli for Trombone Quartet
This is one of my all time favorite pieces for quartet. It would work really well for an orchestral low brass section. Please email me if you'd like the arrangement!

how u off beat to urseelf
TRUE!!!
I just learned about a note error in my recording. In measure 2, the upper octave should be B natural and not Bb. Sorry Alex!
pigeon pit mentioned!

I love this so much. Thank you, Ryan. Float on, sweet girl 🤍🌈☁️
Awww in memory of fluffy Zola!!!❤

I like this one better. 👍🏼
Great minds think alike! 😀
Sounds great Ryan! I think I like #2 better. Sounds a little more natural.
That’s definitely what I’m after. Hard to achieve though!
Very cool!
The range of a bass trombone is between 10 and 12 yards depending upon your throwing strength.
Yes. That is a mighty chuck!
A lot of musicians prefer a staccato marking instead of an eighth note on the downbeat followed by an eighth rest. They do essentially the same thing, but make it easier to read!
But they're totally different...
As pointed out below, this may change a player's articulation as staccato implies more decay in the sound and on some occasions, entirely different techniques on some instruments. Both have their use cases and they have more to do with a sound the composer wants. I disagree with your reasoning for putting staccato, as it doesn't make it much harder to read at all and competent musicians should be able to easily identify both.
Yea that works. I did it this way to make clear that the other player was playing during the other eighth rest. I’m sure it would be fine with staccato quarter notes as well!
Thank you again Ryan, this is gorgeous! 🤩
Thank you! These are such a pleasure to play!
I love it!
