Humacyte, Inc., is developing a disruptive biotechnology platform to deliver universally implantable bioengineered human tissues and organs designed to improve the lives of patients and transform the practice of medicine. Humacyte develops and manufactures acellular tissues to treat a wide range of diseases, injuries and chronic conditions. Humacyte’s portfolio of human acellular vessels (HAVs) is currently in late-stage clinical trials targeting multiple vascular applications, including vascular trauma repair, AV access for hemodialysis, and peripheral arterial disease. Preclinical development is also underway in coronary artery bypass grafts, pediatric heart surgery, treatment of type 1 diabetes, and multiple novel cell and tissue applications. Humacyte’s HAVs were the first product to receive the FDA’s Regenerative Medicine Advanced Therapy (RMAT) expedited review designation and received priority designation for the treatment of vascular trauma by the U.S. Secretary of Defense.
Cutting Edge Dialysis Therapy: Regenerative Healing in AV Access
Vascular surgeon and V007 clinical trial investigator Dr. John Lane of UC San Diego Medical School and VA San Diego discusses the vast potential of Human Acellular Vessel (HAV) for people living with end-stage renal disease, calling it the “holy grail” of vascular research topics in the last twenty years.
Humacyte's Human Acellular Vessel (HAV) product is investigational and has not been approved by the FDA or other regulatory authorities. Humacyte is studying the safety and effectiveness of the HAVs in clinical trials.

Imagine a readily available, “off the shelf ” bioengineered human acellular vessel (HAV) that could replace a patient’s own blood vessel or create new vascular access for patients who require dialysis, without requiring cells or tissue from the patient. Humacyte is making that happen.

Thank you so much for doing this it really helps all of us understand the process the company and the hope for the future
Exciting! I'm happy to live on a same planet and in same era with such people who pushing forward biotechnologies. P.S.: I'm not M.D. so my question may sound stupid. But from engineering pov it looks doable: Do Humacyte already have an artificial replacement for venous valves? For example, for those patients who had DVT of lower extremity in past and their valves are damaged now (having CVI)
Such a profound impact on the lives of the patients.

Wonder why the stock isn’t growing
I know! I just don’t get it. They’re constantly listed as a strong by. I’ve never heard anything bad about them. And yet since I bought their stock about two months ago it’s done nothing but go down. I know they’re currently in phase 3 trials and things are apparently going well. ???? Let me know if you have any info.
@@juddrizzo The market went down and so did Humacyte.
SPAC no earnings ..any revenue?? idk. Long time before any developments occur. Market is high so people sell money that is not producing risky . I imagine Good luck it went down but holding long. 🌕🌝
One day many many people will know how awesome and amazing this company and their technology is!! 😍

So impressive! Best of success in your endeavors!
I'm one of the people who has struggles with severe autoimmune condition of the arteries and pray for the advancement, approval and availability of this new technology. This for me equates to a cure for cancer and I do believe that this type of technology is the bases for other human tissue engineering. My money and heart is set on this technology to change millions of lives including mines.
I am super excited for Laura and her team, this is revolutionary!
This amazing. Wow I’m so about to spread the word
A monster in the making. This is going to be a massive company in 10 years.
I was wrong, it turned out to be a shitty stock.
@@xjsnjkil2070 WHY?
I wonder if this technology will still be relevant after 3D bioprinting comes to market.

Hello dude. This was so knowledgable! I've been trying to look for a RUclips video that really breaks down the stuff in this RUclips video! 🧑⚕️ 👌Your lesson actually reminds me of the content of Dr. Ethan. Doctor Ethan's videos are useful and he actually helped me on my practice! He is the helpful Doctor on RUclips and he teaches mental health and diseases. I recommend you see his RUclips out and give the medical student a like! ➡️ #DrEthanHealth
