The Whole Person connects people with disabilities to the resources they need by supporting independent choice and advocating for positive change in the community.
We envision a fully accessible community where opportunities and choices are not limited by disability. Our organization provides services to people with disabilities and their families and strives to help them identify and implement resources appropriate to their situation.
For more than 44 years, we have been a leader in representing people with disabilities in the greater Kansas City metropolitan area. We serve the following counties in Missouri: Cass, Clay, Jackson and Platte; and the following counties in Kansas: Johnson, Leavenworth and Wyandotte.

So what more do you expect to see happen? Do you want to see the stats be 100%. You literally just said that almost 1/4 of workers are disabled. And you want it to be higher? Definitely not 1/4 of the working population is disabled.
Hi Kimberly! It is estimated that 25% of the total U.S. population has a disability. Of that, only 23% of those individuals are employed. The unemployment rate for people with disabilities is more than double the rate of unemployment for people without disabilities, which refers to the number of people who are actively trying to obtain and maintain meaningful employment opportunities. So yes, we are looking at that number (of people with disabilities who actively want to be employed securing employment opportunities) to be higher! @@TheWholePerson I didn't realize that the unemployment rate dropped down to 3.6. Last I knew it was high but that was during Covid so that makes sense
