Crying like a goddamned baby I am
Was there ever a more beautiful sound?
Happy 2025, all. It's heavenly and beautiful. I love it.❤
This song really needs no description <3
Cures my soul...!my blind cockatiel loves it every time we hear this hymn, again & again.🩹🎧
Love our Irish Uillean pipes. Living abroad they help me reconnect and reminisce. Lost my parents recently and miss my brothers very much. Inspiring and emotional. Miss you mum, dad and my O'Neill brothers.
_🎶🦅_ . . . .. … .

Yes please. At my funeral. I can't imagine a more heartfelt expression of the life that we have lived.
My Great grandparents on both of my mom's side came from England and Scotland.Im 50% British.
Beautiful! Makes me think and reconnects me to my ancestors in Scotland, wondering who they were or how different or difficult their lives were. The Gordon’s of Scotland. 🏴 ❤
A beautiful song, A song that can unite people through their pain and melancholy, A true masterpiece
Beautiful so so Beautiful
I have the Davy Spillane - Sea of Dreams cd that includes this piece. I just love. Listening to it now.
This song is for an angel. ⭐️ Your innocence and purity of your soul enraptured me deeply. Your fragility of your heart leaves me absolutely powerless. It reminds me of the tenderness of a flower 🌸 I can only be grateful for every second of your presence. You have enchanted my soul because I can see your wings 🪽 Because of you I want to be a better person. You absolutely deserve the best. I will help you as long as you like and I am able to. Until the light has driven away the darkness. ☀️ Fly like a butterfly again 🦋 and listen to the wind when it speaks to you. He will listen to you too. As do the trees. 🌳 I love you. How I would like to give you everything that a human being can give you. I miss you. Can we at least meet again in the breath of God? Thank you for existing. Your inner light gives me hope for the world and lets me breathe a sigh of relief. 🌅 I love you so much and miss you. Hopefully the wind will tell me what you told it and makes me feel what you made it feel. I'll soon have no more tears to cry. I will learn to listen to the wind again. Maybe he can comfort me and all because of you. I thank God for your being. 🙏 Fly up to him again. That's where you really belong. It is your true home. Please greet him for me when you stand in front of him again and he takes you in his arms 🌈 But my path will also continue. It is also my destiny to follow him alive on this earth as long as he gives me this gift of his breath. Life goes on for eternity. Thank you for crossing my path like one of the most beautiful butterfly I've ever seen. ❤🫂
I stand on a mountain.....with my wioman......lifebegins......
胸が締め付けられ、心が吸い込まれていく音楽です。懐かしさや悲しみや寂しさ、魂の叫びを感じると同時に、そこから 心が浄化されて、涙がでます。 心を強くしたいとき、この曲を聴きます😊

For mama R.i.P💖🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Norwegian 🇧🇻here, got some ancestors from Scotland🏴 and Ireland 🇮🇪though. The uileann pipes, stirs me into the deepest part of my soul...what a master Davy Spillane is of this instrument!
Please can someone explain to me how the Irish can play such melancholy music that has me in floods of tears yearning for a homeland that I have no connection with whatsoever and then pick me up with jigs and reels that make my whole being want to jump for joy?
my dad passed away this year, before he died I played this song for him in hospital, and at his funeral. Davy this song was your gift to the world. God bless
😅😅😅😅😅
My condolences to you and your family. What a beautiful piece to play.
This was my Dads fav too .. be passed in 19
Irish
I lost my dad on November 17, 2000 and this was the last song he heard before he departed this world. I also played it for him in the hospital.
My father died shortly after midnight on September 11, 2023. For me, there is hardly any other instrument that can express this melancholy and pain... Davy Spillane is a true master...
So sorry for you loss. My Dad does November 17, 2020 and this is the last piece of music he heard on the Earth. It’s the most beautiful thing I’ve ever heard.
I am sorry for your loss
It seems strange to give this a thumbs up, but melancholy and pain is what I feel every time I hear this and it's amazing. I'm sorry for your loss.
The terrible beauty of Ireland and its music
magic
He makes me feel once more that I am human and we have not changed in thousands of years, since the begining of time..
Yah . Look, Davey .. I love your music, But Keenan turned up at Mackenzie's door pone night to fix a chanter you made .. And the reed was a goddamn mess. Ian could not do it. And it's like everything you do - you rush it. And even in your music .. you just gotta rush .. and doing that? You break tradition - and lose the whole point of what we are doing. Slow down boy? You got your prize - now use it??
It's neither an Irish or Scottish thing. Awesome music is just that. It transcends culture and generations.
It's Irish pal; 100% Irish. The uilleann pipes were a banned instrument (by the English) of Connacht (west of Ireland). It goes back to Queen Tephi, queen of Ireland (King David's descendant), and from whence Ireland's harp emblem originated. The Scots have their war pipes, the Irish took it to the next level. I'll never forget seeing a young Irish uilleann piper playing a lament for his father (died 2 days previously). The Scots are ferocious by nature, but the Irish can rip your heart out without lifting a sword - QED. And this is not to denigrate our Scottish cousins; I've lived there too.
My point is that people ought to just enjoy something rather then limit it by their ethnicity. Bagpipes are awesome because they are. Being Irish,Scottish, etc, doesn't make them any better than an extensive noise making instrument that can be played to sound awesome. Now, the heritage part that is connected to the instruments, is great, and I love it. Especially the style of music that has been perfected. But people also use heritage to keep the instrument from reaching more ears. For example, the song, open your heart, by Yuki Kajiura, uses Uilleann Pipes, and it sounds great. The White Squal soundtrack uses Uilleann Pipes in it and it sounds great. They are not played to sound "Irish".
@@dominiclapinta8537 'They' are trying very hard to wipe out (conflate) ethnicity right now. The Scots are not Irish; they have a unique proud and noble history, and it is (and is rightfully) celebrated. And its difference to the Irish (and English) history, ethnicity and traditions matter. Don't let the globalists bind us together for their (control) agenda. The Scotish, Irish and English are now in an existential battle for their existence, and we must each deploy our unique (and differentiated) methods of destroying the enemy. Of our nations only 3%-4% will realise how deadly the current struggle is. Get involved politically (as the judicial systems have been defeated), else it's the 'old way' again.
And I'm off to the land of nod now; sleep well my Scottish cousins.
WOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW IN TEARS!!!!!! SOO TOUCHING
Being British This is heavenly Uilliann pipes make this sound like a angelic lullaby that’s why I adore Irish instrumentals brings tears to my eyes every time I listen 🥲🥲😌☘️🎶💘🇮🇪🇮🇪
If Ireland had a sound this is what it sounds like
Beautiful Touches the deepest part of my soul
Any gaelic speaker who could help with the lyrics of Scar An Nollaig Sinn? I've known and loved this song for over 25 years, but have always wondered what it says. Have looked for the lyrics/translation everywhere, to no avail....
A real sense of Irishness
I love this sound always makes me think of home when I here it and a true legend in his own right davey Spillane
