Great video. Do the front seats come with lumbar support? Good to see the reach and rake function missing from the MG ZS EV
No lumbar support but the seats are really really comfortable and supportive. So much so I had go back and test drive it again to make sure I didn't imagine it.

They do because I do and it works. They don’t work if you have thick gloves on.

Big seller in Australia, Thailand NZ etc..massive in China...not taken off yet in Europe yet..early days.
It is a very nice car, very comfortable and great for daily use, owned 6 month, just love it. Cost about 13kwh per 100kms. Also can discharge power if you have blackout or outdoor picnic, even use power tools outdoor. The vertical screen is a treasure if you use road guidance map, as you can see far more roads ahead.

Mine is on order. The lack of rear wiper is a mistake. It's fine at speed, but when I started the car on the test drive, there was water on the back window. It didn't clear on a town drive, only above about 50mph. When mine arrives I'll just have to give it a good coating of Rainex.

I also reviewed the Peugeot E-Expert in my channel! Great van, I was impressed with the fact that it was electric! But it was a bit expensive and the equipment list wasn't much for its price.
Does anybody know the specs and on board 12v battery and tray? Any chance it can be upgraded to something bigger and lithium, like 300AH Lithium ? Does the AC run off the 12v battery?

Wow you are clueless. Internal cargo weight does not effect range much. It's aerodynamics hindering external cargo like on Truck Beds and Towing a Trailer that massively effects range. A literal 1 tonne cargo onboard probably drops the range down 15% to 20% depending how much stop start traffic. You also seem like you have very little real world experience.

Is the 55mpg calculated only on non edrive driving? If so the overall mpg based on 16k miles is 88mpg which is pretty impressive

Hi! Thanks for commenting. It's not exactly the engine - it's the power from regenerative braking that tops the battery up while you are on the move.
The reviewer isn’t actually correct there. You can charge the car while you drive if you place the car in battery save mode. That’ll take you up to 90% charge but you can charge further than that with energy regen (braking / coasting energy). Obviously that’s not the green route. It’s also the least efficient route. The most efficient way of getting your battery full is to charge it. Battery range from full is also weather (temp) dependant so expect as low as 12 miles in winter and as high as 18/19 miles in summer. You might be able to squeeze 20 miles if you turn off air con and radio and you’re gifted with a mostly downhill route ;)

Nav P Not a lot to report really. Only issue of note after 10 months is I’ve had the Infotainment unit crash on me about 6 or 7 times since I’ve had it. It could be that it’s powered by Windows Millennium edition ;) Otherwise still going great. Drives as good as when I got her 😎

@@rajvirsanny8592 not much of one but it was a decent motor overall. Just the odd glitch which required a reset by the dealer that sometimes caused the car to not gracefully switch between petrol, electric and back again. I let her go now as I've got a Tesla now :)
I understand the value of providing this 'back-up' service to the grid. Ideally, the supplied electricity would come from EXTERNAL sources, e.g. roof SOLAR panels (or WIND?) COMBINED WITH a HOME BATTERY. Once HOMES have BATTERIES, this technology would then be transformed to "Home to Grid EV". Just imagine THAT!
Thanks for commenting! We agree that it would be good to see more renewable energy, and looking at current data we can see as time goes on more and more of the UK's electricity will come from wind and solar. Which is great for decarbonisation. Part of the neatness of 'vehicle to grid' is that a home with an EV becomes a home with a battery in a sense. We appreciate it doesn't work in quite the same way as a home battery + solar panels setup might at the moment. But its an intelligent use of a resource some people already have.
Its a fair point. Pricing for the units are indicative at present - we'll be able to confirm closer to the full launch in Summer 2018. We are making sure we have a great quality product and service to offer.
I like the idea of v2g, but I do not think you have the pricing point right if it is indeed going to cost £8k to £9.5k. A v2g system is really only a smart inverter. The expensive part of grid storage is the battery which is already in the car. Why should anyone pay £8k for v2g when a Tesla Powerwall can be installed for £5k and providers are promising the same grid arbitrage capabilities?

I've had the exact same car for 18 months now and love it. I came from a Land Rover Discovery Diesel and while I occasionally miss it there's just no turning back. PHEV is so much more refined and advanced. I've certainly tried it off road and they're quite capable for the class.
Thanks for commenting. You were ahead of the curve there making the switch from diesel 18 months ago. Do you think you might go full-electric in the future? As you can see in the video, Vicky loves her Outlander too - and rightly so, it's been the best selling plug-in vehicle for something like the last 2 years in the UK.
Will we go full electric?...absolutely. As it is we have a Prius and the PHEV, we'll consider second hand Leaf as they depreciate. We were early adopters with the Prius with no regrets. That's been by far the best car ever owned, hoping the PHEV will be as robust and cheap to own and run. They're really good value second hand now for those wanting to avoid the initial depreciation hit.

Got to drive this car for 3 days and was very impressed by it, fun to drive and I'm thinking of buying one at the end of the year.
