      I followed the manual from WEN for my specific unit.. After the first 8 hours, change the oil, then change it again after the first 25 hours. You may run the generator at full load af ter the 8-hour oil change. Refer to the Recommended Maintenance Schedule in Table

      watts peak Hello. I really can't tell you what you can run. in my camper it runs everything I need at the same time. 2 TV's, laptop, home internet modem, 3 cell phones, fridge, AC, & several lights. I had all these things running at once with no issues. you may want to get one of the plugs that tell you how much an item is pulling.

      cool thats the one I have. So after watching several other vids on wen generators; the suggestion I saw to do is to use that bottle of oil that comes in the box. Supposedly it helps the ring get seated and sealed in place. So when I do my first oil change on this new one sent to me; I will use that bottle of oil.

    After the last failure I'd really think about using a high quality 4 stroke small engine oil like Amsoil or Triax. They have higher zinc and other additives to prevent wear. And, the oil can be run for longer periods before changing.

    • @ScratchOutdoors
      @ScratchOutdoors Месяц назад

      ok sounds good. I'm kind of just following there instruction for the [product.

    • @enthused7591
      @enthused7591 20 дней назад

      Nah, most oil comes from the same factories and are all like 1-2% identical. Oil will never be the reason one of these small Chinese engines failed with under 5 hours on it, they're just hit or miss on quality control. Even the Walmart brand synthetic blend oil today is twice the quality of anything from 10-15 years ago due to the standards oil has to meet just to even be sold to consumers.

    Your unit do have a drain plug ,just below the fill plug a little to the left . Also on the bottom of the unit there's a 2nd rubber pull out plug to allow the oil to drain thought. The first rubber pull out plug is on the outside just before the bottom of the case on the same side ,where you take off the cover to fill or drain the oil. Look thought th3 first pull out rubber plug and you'll see the sliver drain plug,

    I've been looking at WEN unboxing and startup vids, two pulls seems to be the average, some started on the first pull, amazing. I just ordered a 5kw 240v inverter generator. It's the "best" one I could find that was dual fuel, 240v, around 5000 watts, electric start, an inverter type, under 100 lbs, supposedly quiet, and not crazy expensive, only $800. Hopefully it works well and gives many years of service.

    I purchased the WEN 56477i 4800-Watt Portable Inverter Generator on August 7th, 2024. The first few days were awesome. I was so impressed I placed an order for another one. Then, after 5 nights of use powering a 540 watt, 5000 btu small window ac unit on a live aboard boat the generator would not power on. Did all the recommended break in procedures, changed the oil after the first 8 hrs of use... the thing is dead. Finally, after sitting for 24 hrs, the generator powers on when I pull the rope to start it. It runs for two minutes and a red "overload" light comes on and the unit shuts itself off.. (Nothing is plugged into the generator). I hope yours works better than mine did. I quickly cancelled my order for the second unit.

    Good simple walkaround. Has this been used for camping and did it hold enough? Plus, any concerns about stability or balance from the weight in the back when fully loaded? Thanks.

    • @ScratchOutdoors
      @ScratchOutdoors 7 месяцев назад

      Hasn’t been used for camping yet but it’s a good size. No balance issues and I’ve had it almost full. It doesn’t slide around or anything even with a 80lb boy on the back. Loaded it with mostly ropes chains and some hammers drills and a hatchet. I think I could get a small stihl saw in it if I packed it well. It has pass through storage under that non removable tray in the middle as well. It works well for me, hopefully it will for you. Let me know if you have any other questions

    • @spmadeinusa4594
      @spmadeinusa4594 7 месяцев назад

      @@ScratchOutdoors Thanks for the reply. Some more questions - is the back large enough to lock a helmet or two inside when you stop somewhere, say, for breakfast or the toilet? And where does your boy put his feet when sitting on the back? (My wife is about 95 lbs and she's ridden on the back a few times, but not enough to justify saving for another bike.) Finally, how hard would it be to put on and take off when I use the atv around the farm for hauling firewood, spraying, and such?

    • @ScratchOutdoors
      @ScratchOutdoors 7 месяцев назад

      @@spmadeinusa4594 hello, so I did another vid just for you about the helmet. It’s a short video. Yes you can fit the helmets but it could be tight depending on the size. I have not put foot rest pegs because I don’t plan to ride people that often. For my quad it took maybe 30mins to install. I don’t plan to remove it no time soon. It was easier for me to unscrew the 4 bolts and remove the rear rack. Check out the short for the helmet

    • @spmadeinusa4594
      @spmadeinusa4594 7 месяцев назад

      @@ScratchOutdoors Thank you. That answers the questions I have right now. It looks as if one helmet would fit as long as I can put up with some good natured harassment from fellow, and way more experienced riders for delaying their breakfast or pee break. 30 mins. isn't bad if I only do that a few times each year when changing over from trail to farm. Nice job on the explanations. Thanks again from Iowa.
