Looking great! I hunt in the sands area as well, but closer to LaCrosse. It's tough growing stuff in that sand! We had manure spread on the small plots this year, so next year the landowner will spread lime and grow clover, at least that's what I believe the plan is. Clover typically lasts about two years, then comes back sparcely. He doesn't replant every year like you guys are doing.

I will be in the same general area next week on my first bear hunt staying in Gleason hunting zone c though

Worthless video.

I could never sit for hours assuming the buck I shot at was down unless I saw him drop. Tough luck, it happens. I never saw as many bucks as last yr 2023 during the chase phase in ny. Every day I saw several bucks chasing does, couple huge ones too. Quite exciting to have lots of action. I waited all bow and gun season for the monster one but, never close enough or gave a good shot. That's the way it goes.

I had that happen!! 12 gauge over oiled and froze up. Cleaned it up and it works fine with grafite

We had a good buck right by the cabin every year. Try and hunt him though during the 9 day gun season and he disappears for those 9 days, lol!
