Burcu Gönül is a Turkish musician known for her enchanting, ethereal and hauntingly beautiful singing styles inspired by mythological creatures such as sirens, mermaids and fairies, on her main RUclips channel, Sleepyhead. Having a non-musical family background, she has felt a strong desire to express herself through music since childhood. Despite enduring the ongoing challenges of an acoustic trauma she had in 2018, including permanent tinnitus and partial hearing loss in her high and low frequencies, Burcu's passion for music has only deepened.
Burcu continually pushes boundaries, experimenting with various singing styles and unique production techniques. Her music finds use in relaxation, meditation, sleep, and provides a creative backdrop for activities like writing, game making, and documentary production. Burcu is grateful for the impact her music has had on others, becoming a part of their healing and creative journeys.

I figured you’d be a great person to ask since your voice stands out a lot and is my absolute favourite to listen to! 🩵
Awww that's so nice of you, thank you soo much! 🥹🌸That's great that you love singing this much and I'm always happy to help of course but I'm not a professional when it comes to singing actually 🥹 Hmm, one thing I do for sure is to sing along to my favourite songs all the time. Like all day :D And I try to pick the songs with vocalists that have a closer range to me (in my case sopranos). And when it comes to vocal exercises, I don't do much to be honest but I lovee lip trills. Jeff Rolka has such good lip trill videos on his channel and they are super helpful, especially with cord closure.(When i don't feel like my voice is good, sometimes I just follow the songs I wanna sing by lip trilling to them first, instead of singing right away) Also, I dont know if you've heard about it, but there is a voice therapy method called Lax Vox, it might be helpful to check out if you don't know it already!😊
