Omg yay an upload, missed your videos!! I'm so happy you're enjoying your time at Sploot!! I found it interesting that you mentioned the GP you last worked at was toxic because I'm a VA pre-vet student in GP and can attest that it is extremely toxic not to mention the bullying of animals which is so unbearable that I just put in my two weeks (I work for banfield). I find it comforting that your new place isn't toxic bc working as a VA in this dreadful environment has made me so upset thinking that this is how all veterinary work places are. I have hope seeing you so happy. I'm also first gen latina future doctor and cannot wait to be rich!! When you truly follow your passion/lifes work money effortlessly follows but it essentially is our job to become financially literate and master the energy of money<3 I know the apartment that is meant for you will come to you effortlessly, in the meantime happy hunting!!:)

Hi! Thank you so much for making this video, it is so helpful! I'm about to graduate in a year and a half and I wish my university touched more on negotiating the veterinary contracts. I did have an additional question in regards to the health insurance. Did your company offer the health insurance immediately after being hired or was there a 30-90 day wait period where you did not have health insurance?

I have a Newfoundland, a large pitbull and 2 cats. My Newfie's food alone could be a tax write off. Insider tip, if you have your own business you CAN file your dog as a security service under business expenses and therefore all their fees can be write offs 😁

I just graduated from FIU with a bachelor in Biology in 3 years and was thinking the same for UF as the Vet school I apply for to be in state. I’m currently in my gap year starting to get my hours in small/large/exotic animal experience. I would of started sooner but I was not sure of what I wanted to do up until my senior year in college. I am motivated to do the work but it’s so hard not to think about time being against you. But this has opened my eyes as to an idea of what is required and accepted. It’s never too late to pursue the dream ! ❤️

So I took chem121 at osu online got a C-, although UF CVM doesn't accept C-. If I take Chem 122 and 123 and get the grades I need can they count that instead on the application?

I've been working at a small animal clinic for 3 years now, to gather experience with veterinary medicine. I know alot of schools want you to have large animal as well. Do you think it would be an issue if I had no large animal experience? The large animal clinic in my town is never accepting interns, or volunteers.

I’m applying this cycle with a 3.48. I work at an animal hospital, work under a veterinarian at the Vet School, work on a farm, and volunteer at the zoo. I also hold some leadership positions on campus. I want to stay positive, but my advisor said I have a better chance of getting in next cycle after my GPA is better. Any advice? 😭 I’m graduating next spring with a bachelors in Animal Science
