Sceye Infinity
We flew to the stratosphere again! Sceye Infinity completed its mission on October 29 as a demonstrator flight on behalf of a broadband client. We validated a vertical launch and ascent system, collected important payload data, and tested various subsystems that will help us build the next iteration of our HAPS. #reachforthesceye

The Need for HAPS
Просмотров 3913 года назад
This week, two significant milestones show the urgent need for HAPS technology. The U.S. Senate approved a $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill with $65 billion allocated to broadband access. And the United Nations IPCC released its latest climate report urging the need for reducing methane emissions to slow global warming. Sceye's "tower in the sky" approach can provide universal and equitable in...

Stratospheric Impact
Просмотров 1,2 тыс.3 года назад
We’re in a new era of exploration and discovery. The world’s attention is on outer space, but the greatest immediate benefit to humankind may lie in the stratosphere. When we reach it, we’ll be able to do extraordinary things. With the power of High Altitude Platform Stations (HAPS), we can connect half the world’s population to the internet, scan rates of emissions in real time, and plan bette...

We reached the stratosphere last week. The first of many milestones in our mission to improve people’s lives and protect our planet. Internet access is a basic right that improves healthcare, education, quality of life and democracy itself. Sceye’s stratospheric platforms can provide the first truly equitable connectivity across rural communities and urban centers. Our stratospheric platforms c...

The wind at 60,000ft ranges from 93 to 370 kilometers per hour. The world-record for the fastest ever airship speed was 92 kilometers per hour. Starlink exists. Helium is rare, expensive, and non-renewable. There's nowhere *near* enough solar cells in the photo to move this thing any faster than a snail, and not at all in the night-time. At 20km high, the max horizontal ground radius reachable via typical LTE power is 60km - so mobile coverage would be a circle of under 120km diameter - or basically useless. Nothing about this project makes sense.

That takeoff looked marginal! And the video is from 1-2 years ago; any new developments? Would be nice to see POV from the aircraft around dawn or dusk.😊

Why do also monitor hydrocarbons and try to reduce greenhouse gas as well serving 2 problems at once. This helps solve the problems from 2 reasons it pays to launch airships and in return helps clean up the air. It could also Produce O-Zone back into nature to protect the planet from solar rays. Better even is people will pay for the services offered. And you can justify a government tax to help fund the project reduce the overall costs involved. This gives factories less restrictions on producing greenhouse gas but adds incentives to lower emissions.

Read "Operational Defenses through Weather Control in 2030" and you will understand this is an instrument of weather control. It's a whitepaper written by Air Force, it asserts in order to keep its vulnerable areas safe from space lasers, (which it asserts is a very real risk) we need to be able to do induce dense fog coverage wherever we need it, at a moments notice. They need stationary balloons to control the swarm of nanobots, which it describes as ANTS Autonomous NanoTechnology Swarm. Which are like fine metalic dust suspended evenly in the air.

Well this would probably be a better idea than Musk's Starlink system. I know NASA had been working on something similar, so its nice to see someone advancing the tech. However, the next generation of passenger jets may start cruising close to this altitude. be interesting to see what happens then.
