Intel XEON E5-2696 V4 22 Cores Cinbench R15 inside A4-SFX
This is a quick benchmark of the 22 cores and 44 threads Intel Xeon E5-2696 V4, inside an A4-SFX case on an Asrock X99E-ITX AC motherboard.
Although it is known to be the same as E5-2699 V4, I was very surprised that it performed 20% faster than it.
It may be because of the difference in TDP 145W vs 150W, that allows it to break the 3000cb in cinebench.
Cinebench Score: 3.176 cb.
It is:
· 20% faster than the 2646cb mark that an E5-2699 V4 did in another youtube video. More or less the same that Linus got with two E5-2699 v4 (5.214cb / 2 = 2.607cb).
· 50% faster than the 2.114cb 4,2ghz overclocked i7 6950x.
· 78% faster than the 1.778cb stock i7 6950x.
· 100% faster than the 1.570cb 12 cores top e...

Ainda não dá pra comprar , tá caro ainda .
Hello, please tell me how many points e5 2696 v4 dials in cpu-z v1.86 in the bench. if possible, then a better screenshot.
I'm thinking about using this cpu model on a Asrock X99m Extreme 4, microATX MB and a Noctua NH-D15 cooling tower. I hope it will boot with the latest BIOS version... :) Do you know if it is possible to run this CPU with "all cores Turbo" setting so all cores runs at 3,6-3,7Ghz ?
If the CPU is fully loaded with a multicore app like a rendering engine, it sets all the clocks to 2,8ghz, but if you are playing a game for example, it only turbo some cores to 3,7ghz. So it behaves perfectly in all situations. I don't know if it can be tweaked to set all the cores to 3,7ghz.
Hi and thanks for the reply! I know now that the Xeon E5 XXXX V3 is possible to make it go "all core turbo" on ALL cores with a tweak on the motherboard. But the V4 does not seem to respond to the same tweak...
Which cooler do you use? The Dynotron T318? What are the max temperature on it? Thanks
Yes, in combination with thermalright ty-100 fan. I have tryed many other combinations and it’s the only one than can handle this cpu.
I have tryed, dynatron t-318 and cooljag falcon with several fans. The only combination that could handle this monster inside the a4-sfx is the dynatron t-318 with the thermalright ty-100 fan. I have also built a duct with two 40 X 20 mm to extract the hot air from the side of the dynatron. You can check it here >> hardforum.com/threads/dan-a4-sfx-the-smallest-gaming-case-in-the-world.1799326/page-313 It maxes out ~80ºC while rendering, with 45ºC in idle and 65ºC while gaming.
Pedro Apeles Thanks for the link. Very interesting. I use an Xeon E5-2679 v4 with a TDP of 200 watts on AsRock EPC612D4I mainboard. I had to plan to use this config in a DAN A4 SFX case. But I think there is no way to use the cpu in this case, because its impossible to cool it. Currently i use a corsair 280 aio solution. Maybe the ghost s1 case on kickstarter is a quit good solution. FYI, you can see my cinebech run of my 2679 v4 video on youtube ;-)
I have an analisys of different coolers in this forum hardforum.com/threads/dan-a4-sfx-the-smallest-gaming-case-in-the-world.1799326/page-367#post-1043813281
Hi. I can't launch 2696 v4 on this mb, I think a problem of incompatibility of memory. What version Bios? What memory is set? (If the complete name is possible) There were changes in Bios? Thanks.
Hi Maxillius, This motherboard uses to come with bios 1.10 preisnstalled. This bios isn't compatible with broadwell-e cpus (like e5-2696) nor with 16gb of ram modules, so it won't post at all if you have any of them installed. If you want to boot it out of the box, you have to upgrade the bios first, by any of these two ways: 1.- Boot it with an 8gb stick of ram mounted and a hashwell-e cpu. Once in the bios, you can upgrade it via usb or via internet. After upgrading, you can swap the cpu and the ram, and install the e5-2696 v4 cpu and 16gb ddr4 ram modules. 2.- If you cannot get a hashwell-e or an 8gb of ram module, you have to ask asrock service for a "standalone bios chip" with preinstalled 3.60 version. If you look closely to the motherboard you will see a very small and user replaceble chip, with an 1.10 sticker on it (or any other version), they may send you a 3.60 version of it by postal mail. The first bios compatible with broadwell-e is 3.10 (for sure). The first bios compatible with 16gb ram modules is 1.20 (not sure). I have bios 3.60 installed (the latest) Hope you can fix it,
Bios 3.60 works with all by default, and ram is Corsair Vengeance LP 2x16gb ddr4 3000 MHz "CMK32GX4M2B3000C15"
