Playing with USB Modules and creating a C# Serial Communication Program
Testing and playing with USB UART modules demonstrating how serial port transmit and receive data. Creating a C# application that connects, transmits and receives data using available serial ports.

Make a UV PCB Exposure Box Using an Old Scanner
Просмотров 49 тыс.6 лет назад
I'm using an older scanner as a box to create a UV PCB exposure box. I'll go through all steps of the hardware and software design emphasizing more to software logic. You will find all the resources on Github, including all of the design files. • Links: Blog: lytrax.io/blog/projects/diy-uv-exposure-box Github: github.com/clytras/CL_UVScanner • Library Dependencies: Tim Eckel Arduino toneAC: bit...
Perfect
Does anyone know what is serialPort1.Portname here? It gives me error. "The name 'serialPort1" does not exist in the current context
Good
please, whay using RS232 on PC, but the PC working with USB ? sorry for my english !
Ωραία κατασκευή. Μπράβο φίλε μου! Θα την φτιάξω!
What exposure time did you need with this? Thank you. Mike
I request for a latest version of firmware or a workable .he's . After pooling all the includes tried to compile. I get an error line undefined high_btightlight. Please try to accommodate Thanks Sarma Vu3zmv
Many thanks please
That from experience is the ONLY CORRECT way to produce pcb. The iron on toner transfer is just a gimic.
Can we use UV & white lamp together to scan documents
Where is the programming code?
Where is the programming code?

Which version of the IDE did you use, whenever I compile with Arduino IDE v1.8.19, I get error messages which do not stop the compiling however when powered up the displays do not light at all C:\Users\wilwa\Documents\Arduino\CL_UVScanner\Program.cpp: In member function 'void Program::initialize()': C:\Users\wilwa\Documents\Arduino\CL_UVScanner\Program.cpp:39:24: warning: invalid conversion from 'void (*)(Program*)' to 'CL_Button::doevents_callback {aka void (*)(void*)}' [-fpermissive] m_startBtn.onDoEvents(&this->run_btnDoEvents, (void*)this); ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ In file included from C:\Users\wilwa\Documents\Arduino\CL_UVScanner\Program.h:17:0, from C:\Users\wilwa\Documents\Arduino\CL_UVScanner\Program.cpp:14: C:\Users\wilwa\Documents\Arduino\libraries\CL_Button-master/CL_Button.h:25:7: note: initializing argument 1 of 'void CL_Button::onDoEvents(CL_Button::doevents_callback, void*)' void onDoEvents(doevents_callback doEventsCB, void* arg); Appreciate your comment
Thank you very much for this video. Had been struggling for days to implement something similar.
Excellent on this project. Please send the project code
Superb 👌
Shouldn't the pad on the lid be covered in a black cloth like crushed velvet or maybe felt? You want to try a limit any stray light reflecting off the lid don't you?
Can you make an upgrade d version that can expose both sides of PCB same time
How to send AT commands ?
Really great. I love seeing how easy it is with Visual Studio! Now I have to do that kind of program in C using Codeblocks... yikes!
Thank you for this video 🎉
your intro music is hype
Nice working! By the way, please feel free to get back to us, if you will need Smart High Power High Voltage UV Lamp Ballasts, reference at www.uvballastsupplying.com. Thanks and have a good day! :- )
Why we have to cut the strips?? Why just dont use them as they comes?? Less work, not soldering. Could it work??
Hello. For mi is super idea. Simple and practical UV box. If you wand check my UV box please visit link below: ruclips.net/video/wU3Z9bPXEwA/видео.html My scanner was built with Aduino UNO, UV Led 5050, 12V / 5A power supply, one relay module (ON / OFF UV light) and 4 control switches.
So? Did this work? I want to build something similar but I am afraid that the ordinary glass block UV light...
very helpful knowledge, thank you very much
Very nice job. I cannot find EEPROM and Wire links in the Library Dependencies. Are they unnecessary?
My UV exposure made same way :)
serial port close dont't work
You may have some suggestions about 2 USB communication using an ARM chip is not??? Thank you very much!!!
No launch configuration in eclipse, there is another way to open the code?
nice gadget ! in my lowbudget scanner are working tubes from a "Toaster" Ballasts from dead energy safing lamps, and time makes a 555 ;) I recommend small neodym magnets for top cover improving "gap less" between template and laminat !
Thanks a bunch. Why disappear from YT?
Hi, thanks. I got very busy and away from home with a project I got on a job. All of my equipment is at home, so it's very difficult not only to create content, but even to design an implement new projects.
Very nice man! I think I'm going to build this. This method seems more accurate, and smart than the ol' iron/transfer paper approach. What transparency paper do you use? and would this exposure box work with an ink, or laser printer?
I haven't found UV LED strips with s/m 360nm.. so it won't be working efficiently. all the strips I've found around the Ali has s/m 395-405nm only. Please let me know if you find the ones.
Don't worry too much. I got good quality leds with 395nm wavelength. Not yet made a board, but tested on UV film and they work very well.
Sir Can we use this for rubber stamp making purpose please
What’s the wavelength of your led strip?
very helpful knowledge, thank you very much
Hi! Can you tell me what model scanner you built your unit in? This is to give me an idea what model I need! Chris Williams
This is a HP Scanjet 2400. You can do it with any scanner box; it's an easy way to get a box that has a glass surface and closes.
@@lytrax9735 Thanks for that - An EEV Forum Member also said the 2410 was the same apart from colour! I was after that or one very similar as it has the buttons conveniently placed on top and power/USB sockets already mounted on the back! Regards, Chris Williams
what is the software that you have used to drow the diagram ?
It's Microsoft Visio.
Nicely done, very neat and great use of existing buttons. I was thinking of making a back light box with one, I was wondering if anyone else had done anything similar :-)
I tried something similar with my old lide30 scanner. I also used UV-Led's, those 3 connected ones, max. at 405nm from Ali... I used 120 leds on an ~A5 area... powerdraw ~2.3A@12V... The result was the whole plastic bottom warped upwards because the LEDs where getting so hot. And second, I was not able to expose my bungard 10x16 pcb. I tried 3-5-12 Minutes, nothing worked! Maybe the glass of the scanner blocks all the UV...
I had a bad PCB... it just works fine with another new PCB...
Yamas :)
ok.....um ....why? why do i keep seeing these things made this way? wire up the led strips to a wall transformer power supply, plug it in to turn on the lights, and set a ONE DOLLAR egg timer from walmart to time your exposure! ....then unplug when the time is up...why the whole "built in'" timer circuit, complicated logic, etc?
If you don't like DIY videos, then you should go watch sometinh else... You think everything in this world is "simple"? All the devices you use everyday do have VERY complicated logic.
Why does one climb the mountain? Because it is there.
Why? Because it's interesting, neat and fun! My only (big) concern is that glass absorbs UV, so I'm wondering how effective it actually is...
I really like the idea. 12 years ago, I gave away my uv exposure unit, because I thought, I will not use it anymore and now I would like to have one again. I have also thought of modifying a scanner. I was not sure, if I wanted to use uv tube lamps. The uv led strips might be easier.
Great video. Thank you. I'm building mine now.
Why didn't you defuse the light?
