1:57 danggg the choir adds something to it, only complaint I have if that I can’t really hear Hyde
Unfortunately, there is not an official ("studio") audio track of the musical. Everything you see and hear is recorded by the audience.
this is outstanding, thank you!!!
The russian version is so beautiful. Didnt expect that. 🖤
First
Me when
To be honest. You know the recent 2013 beroadway version. It had Jekyll strapped down in a chair and him pulling a lever and the concoction entered his veins . I think it’s more painful and dark because Jekyll just has to sit their and feel the pain. But this works too because the flashing lights to me, I would represent it as the darkness in him emerging out
That's too technical for me. :) I specialize in video editing only.
What pothole did he fall into? At the end
No idea :) In theaters, there are always "underground tunnels" for actors, under the stage.
The sewers
What musical is this from?

I thought that Broadway version was the worst. Take my words back.
Internet is a free world. No-one can force anyone to watch anything
this is awesome!!!!!
I stumb;led upon Gordeev while looking at the German side of musicals. thanks to him, I am discovering the Russian side of musicals
Thank you for your kind words. Yes, the Russian team and performances are pretty impressive.

Thank you for uploading. That's such a beautiful aria (and quite difficult to sing!). I hope you enjoyed your break and welcome back.
Hi Suzy, thank you for coming back. We did have a good break. I will be gradually working on other episodes . Unfortunately, there is only one full ("pirate", of course) record of the musical on youtube. Many episodes contain unintelligible parts of dialogs and lyrics. So, at the moment it is impossible to process all the episodes in sequential order. Let's see; maybe some kind people will upload another full version, so the complete processing will be possible.
@@samopalvampirenvonbutlegin8603 Thank you so much for everything that you do. I really appreciate it. I'm glad you had a nice break. I'm learning Russian and this really helps me get my "listening practice" in. I'm an absolute beginner but it's so much fun to learn when you have a goal in mind. And yes, maybe some people will be kind enough to upload another full version or some parts that can be pieced together.
@@Suzy.musician The original Russian texts of this musical are really hard for non-Russian speakers. They are written in a complicated (poetic, almost "pathetic") style. The dialogs are OK, but the lyrics are very difficult to translate in an "exact" way. I don't want to discourage you, of course; just a thought from my part.
Hi again Suzy; I thought you might be interested in the following option. Texts of "Бал вампиров" in Russian are available online on: vk.com/topic-30284476_25825077 If your goal is listening practice, that may be useful. Cheers.
@@samopalvampirenvonbutlegin8603 That's awesome. Thank you very much for letting me know. I'll check it out right away. 😊
I love how Porthos welcomes Athos. 😂😘💙⚜️
Yes, he is an adorable hooligan :)
Thank you so much for the translation and for your effort. I appreciate it so much. ❤
My pleasure. :) I have to take a break for a couple of weeks, but I promise to return to this project after that.
@@samopalvampirenvonbutlegin8603 Have a nice break and again, thank you so so much! I love the Russian musicals so much.
OMG it's all complete thank you so much!
You're welcome!
This trio plays it so wonderfully. Rostislav's Herbert is very playful and fun to watch. I think Alexandr Kazmin is my favorite Alfred but Ruslan plays this scared, insecure boy so so well!! He really brought a lot to this performance. And Andrey has to be my favorite professor, always.
Thank you. :) I love the "Vampires". Music, plot, actors - everything is wonderful.
@@samopalvampirenvonbutlegin8603 It really is. I've seen the German production live a couple of times but I have to say I like the Russian vampires even more. The costumes are richer, and the acting, singing and overall atmosphere just has a more special feel to it.
@@Suzy.musician I would say that the major difference between the two productions is the "spirit" of the show: the German version is dramatic and tragic, whereas the Russian one is rather satirical. Although, that may be my personal perception only.
@@samopalvampirenvonbutlegin8603 Yes, I think that sums it up quite well. I've only seen the Russian show on RUclips and it's always better to see theatre live, of course, but it still felt so fresh and different from the German production. I really hope there's going to be another Vampire Ball...one day. And maybe even Elisabeth (who doesn't want to see Kirill as der Tod/Death?!)
This song really suits his voice.
Kirill Gordeyev (Gordeev) is a popular actor working in the Saint Petersburg Theater of Musical Comedy.
@@samopalvampirenvonbutlegin8603 I like him a lot as an actor. I've seen quite a few of his works on RUclips and he is very talented. I can see why a lot of people like him.
Thank you so much for uploading and thank you for the subtitles.
Alexander Ragulin (the author of the musical) wrote sort of a "prequel" to the famous story of three musketeers.
@@samopalvampirenvonbutlegin8603 it is very interesting. I haven't heard of it but the music is great.
I like how modern this could look. How come the broadway revival cant do something like this.
Honestly please don’t take me as a crazy person, but I think it dose kinda make sense for Lucy to commit suicide at 5:58 because I think it would make more sense to the line “You are free now you’re with me now”. Because if doctor Jekyll dies, Emma has now choice but to die with him as well. So i think this ending make sense . It’s dark ends on a grieving note, but it make sense for the story. but hey, that’s just a theory of theater theory.
Yes, this is a sad story, and Emma's choice is logical. Not every movie or theatrical play must have a "happy end". At least, this whole version of J&H is pretty good (IMHO); I thought that translating this Russian version to English would be a good way to make the nternational audience to enjoy J&H once again.
Also I have a question. Did they actually show her falling off or did they just blackout when she leaned over the fence, because your video look like it blacked out just to say the end.
@@pokemonlovers4907 No they didn't. The show ends exactly as on video.
Oh okay.
🎉🎉Thanks for all the translation!
You're welcome 😊
Thanks so much! Waiting for next episode <3
A truly great performance
Thank you so much for this! Finally can understand the dialogues and lyrics, looking forward to the rest. Big hug <333
You are welcome :)
🖤🖤🖤❤❤❤
I like the shot of where she took his hand, and the way he held it.
This is so freaking goofy, they are literally running around the room like children. Kinda makes you forget what the song is actually about considering they took the time to have Lucy portray her feelings as lust, when it was in reality...Lucy was trying to get away from Hyde.
IMHO her feelings are both fear and desire at the same time; they are both at very biological level, not controlled by consciousness.
This is a very interesting interpretation of famous novel by R.L. Stevenson because it shows how the mind of a scientists works. I hope the work on this musical will be continued.
