Love this house every time I pass by. How much?
My great grandfather, Henry Atkinson, first built Atlanta by the Sea as an escape from the pressures of running the Georgia Power Company. After him came my grandparents and finally my parents. As a child and young adult I spent every holiday there on the island and took a governess with me to bridge the gap between school and Bermuda. The Jolly Roger was my one room school house! Back then, it had a little cannon in the back, and my sister Jane and I would drop golf balls down frog holes and listen to them splash into the sea far, far below in some unknown cave. Many great memories of listening to the Talbot Brothers sing calypso on the beach at Mid Ocean.

Yes! It's gorgeous. We visited with the Marianis some summers ago, and it was just after the remodel. While preserving the family home aspect of the home, they added much needed storage and the kitchen is fabulous. Just wish they'd rent it!!!
