I bought the Kahr CM9 brand new and it jammed all day long. It jammed even after the 200 round break-in. Never would shoot a full magazine without a jam. Then my boss told me to disassemble it and put all the metal parts into the shops ultrasonic cleaner. I did and the parts came out squeaky clean. Put the gun back together and it NEVER JAMMED AGAIN! Not once, and that was 2012 and that little mother has had at least a thousand rounds through it. Hollow points, FMJ, and dirty cast lead reloads, it feeds them all, and is very accurate to boot. It went from hated to loved and I won't part with it. Just spent $100 for night sights and it's like a brand new gun.

Finger off the trigger till ready to shoot Always point the gun down range Those are the first two things I noticed. Also, any time you get a gun, clean off all that storage grease, give it a good cleaning and then lube it. That poor gun never had a chance to not jam.
Take them damn gloves off. You need to learn how to hold pistol properly. It’s the extractor maybe to tight or loose. Has to be perfect that’s the trouble with 3 inch barrels in 45 1911.
The performance for you is unacceptable no matter how you hold the gun. I would send it back to get fixed. I purchased the same pistol in 3/2022 and took it to the range and shot 150 rounds day one without cleaning then, 180 rounds on a second trip and not a single hiccup. Shot as fast as I could pull the trigger. This is a great gun that should be functioning for you...
Get yourself some lessons how to handle a 45acp includes clearing jams, finger on the trigger. Practice practice you'll get better but the basic fundamentals is just not there.
This first impression was helpful to me. I just bought this gun and had a similar issue. The more experienced reviewers might not have encountered the probiems that you did (if they did some of the things suggested by other posters here)… so seeing a more average guy who might not always do everything perfectly can add real value to some viewers like me. So don’t let down votes discourage you. Keep learning and sharing your experiences!
Its hard to find a 1911 under commander size to run period, I've had my share of 3.5 colt officers models that had stove pipe problems. With slides that short there isn't enough dwell time for the extractor to eject the casing. Good luck.
I have read that before and yet have not had that issue with any of my colt officer caps. Got my 1st @ 1985. Same goes for my 3.5 RIAs and 3.1 ATI titan.
My copy failed after about 50 rounds. Sent it back on warranty and was told it was worn out. They did nothing and returned it. It sat on a shelf for years, then I made a decision in 2021. I took it to Chuy's Gun Shop in El Paso. He welded a section of the extractor and fixed it. The only thing he advised is for me to ALWAYS use American made 230 grain FMJ. S & B would not feed properly. I previously installed a Kimber guide rod and spring. He advised to leave that in place. Now it is my carry gun that fears no scratches, unlike my Colt Officer lightweight which is a vault queen. Personally, I recommend that no one buy one of these. ATI's other models seem to be more reliable. I have the G.I. full sized pistol that eats anything and works well.

Take a course. Stronger wrist may help. Mag is not the issue. Get some help or you may get hurt.

Can't make any promises but after it gets shot bout 2 mags worth of bullets it won't jam anymore.
