@@Javier-jn6cc that is the C8 concert, they do not. Perhaps they chose to not add agraffes in upper register to make it more singing and add some harmonics. It would be interesting to test full agraffes VS V-bar (capo d’astro in grands). I wouldn’t say with certainty one is better than the other without extensive tests. I’m sure the choice was made wisely and backed by research of Bechstein engineers. Hope this helps!

@@pedfuego I don’t think it’s gonna be too much sound, the K-300 is already pretty compact in size standing at 122cm tall, smaller one being k-200 at 114cm tall. The volume levels are pretty similar, but you do have a noticeable difference in bass sound, k-300 has a thicker and rounder bass in my option than k-200, thanks to the size of course. If volume is something you are worried about (neighbours, family and whatnot) I’d advise you to look into Kawai’s ATX or Aures series (both have silent options). But if you’re worried about it just being too loud for yourself, that would not be the case in my opinion. Hope this helps!

I do have a new-ish Concert 8, that is still settling in. Bluthner B is also very nice, and the Bosendorfer is comfortable. I would say I found that Steingraeber 138 or 130 would be the strongest rival, though. (Grotrian also makes excellent uprights if you like their sound.)

1:10 into the video it states that the audio source is two microphones. So you’re hearing the piano’s speaker outputs. If this were direct input sound, the quality would be even better sounding. But the speakers are not bad. It’ll sound amazing when playing the instrument and listening with headphones.

Indeed as the person below kindly pointed out, for this one the audio sources is a stereo mic set-up. When recording with Line In you hear the sound engine in its purest form, I find that it can sometimes be a bit misleading and doesn't represent the actual sound of the piano which is transmitted through its speakers.

@@pianovertu That's a good point that I hadn't ever thought of. Of course you have to have a really good recording system to compensate. How's the feel of the piano over the haptic feedback of a Roland? Is there really any difference between the 256 polyphony against unlimited polyphony?

He was impressed! Especially on the black keys where the counterweight is slightly shifted.

Obviously the build quality is unmatched across the entire SK line. One of the most notable differences the pianist and myself had noticed is the projection of sound. As you go into longer pianos the bass and mid range become a bit more pronounced and the diffusion of sound is also greater. You will hear it yourself once your are trying them out! :)

The SK3 seems to have the best tonal balance until you hit the sk7 or ex .. the SK5 seems a bit softer in its midrange and treble. Your SK3 is just singing out .. sk2 as well, just with less presence in the bass. But a strong clean bass
