As soon as he started talking about when he was in middle school it all started flooding back and I knew he was gonna say Yo-yoing. I remember hanging out with Sean and the Bellarive folx with The Digital Age guys at a Buffalo Wild Wings in Oklahoma and Sean pulled out the yo-yo 😆. I think I have the video somewhere

I love what @seancurran is saying but I am also super super confused. I mean, how are you not the quintessential hype, celebrity type of guy @seancurran? Am I the only person with that impression? The time I went to a LIFT creative conference and saw you I could not help thinking how much hype there was. I don't mean to be overly critical & I am more than open to be shown mistaken! Maybe I just don't know christian music enough and there are other artists out there who are much more celebrity & hype driven? The clip just sounds as if suddenly Madonna was giving me a lecture on the importance of modesty. Thoughts anybody? Thanks!

David - thanks for this wonderful, insightful interview with John Michael Talbot. I heard John Michael many years ago when he performed in St Patrick’s College, Maynooth, Ireland. It had a profound impact on me. He spent at least 30 minutes in silent prayer as people filed into the auditorium before taking up his guitar and praying through his music. Thanks John Michael for your tips on how to pray each day, the importance of contemplative prayer, and your insights as to how you, as an artist, seek to discover the song in the music, much as Michelangelo did when trying to find the figure in the stone when he was sculpting. Inspirational, in the true sense of that word! God bless you both.

Not just underlying values, but underlying beliefs and convictions that predisposition us. If we do not have a conviction that Christ is present by his Holy Spirit, that he can speak to us, and we can respond to him, if we do not have the conviction that he manifest through the body, ministering life through the body to the body ... I could go on and on ... but not just values but underlying beliefs and convictions can determine whether there is a merge of the flow and a surge of the wave.

Met him 1985 at Jubilee Christian Church in Sunnyvale, Ca.. Dr Kenoly & M C Hammer.. His music is legendary, he has done miraculous healing throughout his life.. Glad to know he is alive & well for he changed my life forever ❤

Oh wow! What a beautiful interview, I have thoroughly enjoyed it, very insightful. I love minister Ron Kenoly. I was introduced to him and his music in 1993, after being born again at 14 years. At church, we used to sing his songs and other musician's songs (Bob Fitts, Morris Chapman, and other Integrity Music musicians). My very first cassette was his Lift Him Up album, followed by Jesus is Alive, God is Able and many others. I listened and bought cassettes of the other Integrity Music albums. My non saved family members and friends loved Lift Him Up. We would play it at our family gatherings to a point where my brother and I would buy the album and present it to them, even though they were not born again. That's a special album. My love and appreciation of musical instruments was born from the Lift Him Up album. 31 years later, I still love and listen to this minister of Christ. Wow! Minister Ron Kenoly is loaded, full of the word, always has been, so is his music. Bless you. Love from South Africa

What a beautiful lovely man you are Ron many years ago I I sang a few songs before you did a one man concert at Canada Christian college in Toronto many years ago I'll never forget how kind you were to me and so incouraging, will see each other in glory soon and I'll give you a big hug and kiss your a sweet reflection of the love of Jesus and a man that I would inspire to be, ❤.

Why does the interviewer calls mr. Kenoly by his first name? It is not respectful to call someone way older than you by his or her first name. Only if mr. Kenoly agree to be called by his first name. I think this has something to do with culture?
