Amazing
Hi Gus!🎉🎉
What is sun in gealic and how can you say it
Grian is sun in Gaelic. I will post a video next Friday.
Now I see the difference between the queen and the others
love you gus !!
not the mp4 sound over idle clips of the captive frogs 😂
What do you use to mark the queen?
I don’t know. They sometimes use a paint marker. She was purchased from another beekeeper.
@@museumofnaturalhistory-hal6713 how neat. Thank you for your reply. Please send my love to Gus.
I have a ring -neck snake to
I wonder what garlic is?
And yes, I know, onion was taken
Gaelic is the native language of the Gaels in Scotland. Native speakers are also found in Nova Scotia, Canada. BTW Garlic is Gàrlag in Gaelic.😃
It's a a species of bulbous flowering plant, but that's not really important right now. (see movie Airplane for insights)
whats the song name? i love it
I don't remember. It was from the RUclips music library. I am happy you like it!
0:24 🐸🎀🎣🧍🏾♂️ they attack anything red in color I usually use a piece of my red bull whip fake worm plastic worm synthetic worm fishing worm as fresh Shields says HE JUMPED ON IT LIKE A LINEBACKER REED !😅
Gus is like, how about some Ruth's Chris for a change?
He is a strict vegetarian! 😄
I like how ring-neck snake are harmless to people I own 13 of ring-neck snake and I feed them salamander etc
Please Put them in a bigger tank. This is way to small for turtles of their size
The Museum strives to provide the highest standard of care possible for our live animals and we appreciate your concern for our turtles. We are working on getting a new aquarium for our painted turtles. We have a new 8 ft. aquarium onsite and we just have to build a base. However, they are currently in a 6 ft. aquarium (416 L) which is technically large enough for 2 5 inch-turtles.
I have the same pet toad😅
Take off that rubber band turd sniffer
🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢
:(
Lol pretty cool no animal cruelty here so
Fun to watch this again! Thanks Heather!
Vitamin dust on cricket?
Yes!🙂
And there is a rubber band on the poor creature's claw
We just placed the lobster in the tank. The band is there to protect the other animals. As she settles in, we will observe how she interacts with the other animals. Once, we can establish that she in not a threat to the others, we can remove the band.
@@museumofnaturalhistory-hal6713 Next thing you know kids will go missing and you will find the dead bodies in the tank
Who will post more Gaelic videos. Enough bad words & too many emails & content are in English #banemail
We are planning on doing a more videos about the Gaelic Tree Alphabet.
I think he died now
No, Gus is still alive and he will be 101 this summer.
great choice of music. 🙂
no doubt bro would eat them if she had the chance
Thats so 🆒
They are so cute with big, cute eyes. I hope I see one one day. So far, I've only seen grass snakes in NS.
Don't forget about their smell :P
Plot twist! Gus is an independent thinker.
This is great!
Gusssss❤
So cute
he is trying to mate
OMG 99 years old!!! He's adorable!
Gus
Wait, they can get up to a meter long? Why have I never seen one that big? The biggest I have seen was at least almost 2 feet
The average range for an adult is 40-90 cm in length, however we have had larger ones with us at the Museum and in the wild. It depends on their age and experience (e.g. diet, healthy habitat, genetics, etc.)
I find a lot of these around dartmouth. Also, where did you get these garter snakes? Are they wild caught? Because I don't know anyone breeding this specific species in captivity.
We have an educational permit to collect certain species for display, like the maritime garter snake.
@@museumofnaturalhistory-hal6713 cool
C a l m
I think you should post more videos about the bees
Great idea!
I have seen these individuals many times at the museum. Do you feed them the salamanders that die from the salamander tank or do you sacrifice certain ones?
We collect food for the snakes and keep them frozen until needed. We never feed any of our captive animals to each other.
@@museumofnaturalhistory-hal6713 so you take wild salamanders?
@@museumofnaturalhistory-hal6713??
This belongs in a horror movie Especially that laugh tho 😂
Happy 🐸
Pebbles can get impacted in the stomach of the turtle, that is a mating dance.
He’s too cute 🥰 For an old tortoise he’s doing great
I met guss when i was very young (like 5 or 6) and fed him strawberries, now im 25 and happy to see hes still around and when covid is over i want to visit and see him again, i bet he still loves toothbrush shell scratches like when i was a kid.☺️
