This game gets brutal very quickly which is rather annoying......the curve should lead you fairly from easy, medium easy, medium ,medium hard etc 🤔😏 Like your logical mind.

I've really been enjoying this game, but this mission in particular has just been a wall we can't get past.

I think I’ve tried this scenario at least 20 times but I’ve never won .. I suppose I am so bad at this game 😢

I´ve tried this mission many many times, even starting with "wave 0" instead of "wave 1", to ease the mission up a bit... Impossible. I explore as much as I can during the firsts rounds. But after that, I must invest almost all my cards in killing, discarding, and cleaning the discarding deck (forget about keep saving further survivors and gathering additional equipment and traps). As one of my friends says... "After the Virus seems difficult at first. But after 4891 tries, you start to get the hang of it..." :D

why do you start with 5 zombies in the start deck instead of 4? The scenario's (also the updated scenario's on the Fryxgames site) say clearly "start with 4 zombie cards in each deck". (which means: 4 instead of 1-3, otherwise it would say "add" or "extra" or something like that). I know you are the designer so you know how the game works, obviously. Maybe I should put the question the other way around: if we are supposed to have 5 zombie cards in each deck, why does the scenario say "start with 4 zombie cards in each deck", without saying something like "add" or "extra" or whatever? The playthrough video's are a good thing, but it shouldn't be necessary to watch a playthrough video to only know the correct setup for a scenario, right?

shouldn't there be some addition to the setup like 'shuffle one of the facilities into the first x cards of the area deck', where x being e.g. 5 or 6 or 8 or 10? I understand that the scenario wants you to scout a lot, but there are only 3 facilities. Great that in your playthrough the 1st or 2nd card was a facility. But several times I tried the scenario, the facilities were in the bottom third of the deck. Then you're never going to make it, without being able to do something about it.

you are using the goal 'have 6 cards prepared' but mission 1A (also the updated scenarios on the fryxgames site) say: have 5 cards prepared. Which of the two is correct? However regardless of which of the 2 is correct, when I play 1A, I just play 5 or 6 cards (every starter deck has 6 items that are possible to prepare) and prepare them, for 5 cards this is mostly done still in wave 1 in the first 2 turns, or for 6 cards in the first turn of wave 2. For myself I changed the 1A goal now to: end your turn in wave 3 (easy) or wave 4 (normal) with 6 prepared cards in play. For me it feels better that way to learn to know the game

Angela seems really week. He can run, use MC or Grenade, but they just discard zombies. Need something to kill them. Or at least the weapon training to kill 2 zombies/shoot.

Hello Jacob, how are you? I have several questions for you: Can we discart a card which is in the game zone (prepared or not)? and do the medical equipments are equipments in 2b mission? The game is great.

Thanks for the playthroughs! Really helps seeing the designer run through the game. I did notice towards the end you used the machete without discarding a card? To clarify you discard a card in hand to activate the Kill power of the machete yes?

Just got my copy from Fryxgames website. Its a really good game. I hope you make more solo card games like this! A lot of fun in a deck of cards

I just started playing and have discovered that if you draw 3 or 4 zombies on the first hand then you are better off doing a shuffle and redraw. If you draw 5 zombies on the first hand you should go buy a lotto ticket.

Try this mission using Ruth. I’m 0-20. And how are you shuffling? You mentioned that you “space out” the zombie cards so you dont draw a lot of them each turn. Thats kinda cheating! When I play this, I’m always drawing 2-3, sometimes 4 zombie cards, and its game-over way too quick. Ruth probably not the best character to use I suppose but i found this game relies on too much luck. Zombies flood the deck before I can get it built up. Not a fan of this at all.

1)Does the card that sits behind a weapon count as a prepared card? 2)Can the Ammo card be prepared and not loaded in an available weapon? 3)If Ammo is loaded into weapon, does it count as a prepared card?

At the end of run two - couldn't you just have used Run to run away from the 2-Zombie card and then let the 1-Zombie bite you, at least survive one more turn? :-)

That was intense! Am still struggling with 2A solo, but only got the game this Thursday and did a trial run at GothCon with three people. We all enjoyed it! I think I begin to get a grip of the more detailed rules now as well, thanks to your playthroughs. :-)

Jacob what happens if your prepared weapon (e.g. a pistol with 1 ammo card) gets destroyed with the survivor - I mean what happens to the ammo card (can be any card) - does it get destroyed with the gun? (would be thematic but soo unfortunate :D)

What about Ruth? Is it easier for her to win this scenario as she starts with the pub (facility)?
