No way around it folks. Sometimes a job is just for money. Get over it and get on with it.

Over the years I have known so many people stuck in jobs they absolutely detest, patiently waiting and saving for retirement. Looking forward to it so much, like as if it was the answer to their dreams. Problem is, their retirement never came and they died still hating their everyday life. Their jobs were their lives, they just didn’t know it.

Money is real if you're living in poverty.

Understanding that the system is flawed does not help you understand how to escape the system. It is not easy making a living without a job. It essentially goes into entrepreneurship, which is not for everyone. It is hard and risky. Although if you understand things like this video it becomes obvious that you must do it. It is still a struggle like having a job, but different.

ok, nobody works, who is going to make all the beers you want to drink when you are out camping ,not working? how about food? who is going to build houses for people who don't know how? who is going to bake bread ?who is going to make computers and game consoles? phones? cars? ships? satellites? oil rigs? fuel? grow fruits and vegetables and transport them to you? fridges? bricks? pots and pans? speakers? musical instruments? you get the idea....jobs are inevitable , what IS wrong is small amounts of money we get for all those jobs. high taxes are the problem and the way political systems handle employment ,business and salaries. we need all those jobs but they need to be paid more . what is wrong is that football and tennis players (no production talent) have millions while a 180 IQ physicist has about 4000 eur salary , while a chef cook has 3000 eur salary working 10 hours every day. why is a football player 100 times more valuable than a person that makes you great food? we should put football players on chefs salaries and reroute all those millions into world economies. and that world DEBT, to who? those are such exorbitant amounts of money that they already should not matter to those who hold it, because for them is almost infinite so at any moment they can erase it and nothing would change for them.

Alan Watts was a tradesman. He sold ideas that weren't his own to people he never met. There are artists out there, who we will never know, because they aren't salesmen. And they don't have money for a smartphone or time to spend on socialmedia building a following. They are just passionate about expressing themselves through art, but they never learn to commodify themselves. Or they simply don't want to. How do I know? Because of E.A.Poe, Van Gogh, H.P. Lovecraft. We wouldn't know about Sokrates if Plato hadn't decided to put down his works in writing. The great artists don't care about making money, contrary to Mr. Watts. They even do what they do without receiving any kindness for it.

The real key feature is this. Do something that resonates with you. That's the difference between a 'job' and a 'calling'. it could be that you like creating things, or it could be that you like helping people. Whatever it is, do it!
