    Kratom taken in a controlled manner had benefits for ADHD, depression, and anxiety. Once I slipped into daily use and large doses it pretty quickly lost the benefits and made those things worse. I was zombified, irritable, losing hair, and my chest and liver hurt all the time.

    Hey dude I don't know if you still monitor this video but if you want more of Bill Burr he's got a website with 6 years worth of podcasts he also has an animated series called F is for Family on Netflix which is hilarious, I completely agree on both Burr and Eminem being underdogs they're a rare kind of person that seems to be dying out these days in this careful sensitive society we need more of them like that to be the voice of the people

    I'm glad I surfed in and saw your video. "feeling normal" is what its been all about for me. Those of us in this boat are just wired differently. Using something to feel just a bit better is a necessity, a survival strategy, however socially taboo it is to admit it, it is a reality. Most people deny the fact that the vast majority of the world uses "something" to feel right. They are quick to draw the lines of judgement between the different groups of who uses what substance... and this is a problem. Some lines are well drawn, too many are not. At times it is worse than throwing stones from a glass house, the Alcohol vs Marijuana debate is a prime example of this. At times, and likely for the wrong reasons (to be viewed as socially optimal ), I to wish I didn't "need" anything, but I do, and Ive come to terms with it, as I traverse the cut-throat concrete jungle of today, in the hopes I can feel just a bit better. Thank you for the video.

      Thanks for the reply. I am in total agreement with everything you've mentioned. I am very curious about something i have been thinking for a while now...(Ill set up the scenario and then ask the question) I have been using some sort of drug since early high school, 22 years ago. First it was alcohol, then weed and for the longest time, opiates. So for 22 plus years i have been using something in order to feel some sort of normalcy. Regardless of how long i used any one substance, i could always walk away. I drank for 13 years and 10+ years on opiates and when i decide to start a family i walked away. I went through SERIOUS withdrawal from the opiates but i did it. What i am curious about is whether or not it is easier for people who use drugs (not the attended kind) to self medicate their adhd symptoms, to just quit using once they decide to.? I have seen so many hit rock bottom and never return, but i seemed to always just walk away when i thought it was getting to be to much. And others with adhd that i know of did the same, just quit using drugs once they decided. My belief is we use (adhders) to feel normal and to help get us through the day a liitle easier, where as those who cant seem to ever stop until theyve lost everything, use drugs for different reasons, more of a suppressant of past traumas?? I dont know? i have just always wondered why i never felt victim to the hell that is addiction when i was definitely knocking on its door for a very long time. People do need to be open about their usage and talk freely about it, that would eventually break the taboo and help all those with true addictions speak up and ask for help and not feel ashamed to do so.

      Excellent questions, profoundly deep in their implications. They approach the many issues on 'use' and how all the varying degrees of 'use' and the "whys" behind it behave in society. I must say in reading your post I'm was in a pleasantly surprised state of disbelief. I could have written that post out myself, verbatim, and using the very same order and drawing from the very same experiences. There is a whole lot going on here, and its actually been at the forefront of my mind every day, for at least 20+ years. I feel there are just a few categories of 'users' when they first come out of the gate BUT as time passes, the 'users' tumble in and out of these categories/lanes completely dependent of how they deal with how their lives unfold, ie; good times, bad times, trauma's and triumphs, experiences in general etc. The starting line categories: experimentation, acceptance(fitting in), boredom, stress management(feeling normal), physical/medical management, escapism (sexual abuse, home life issues, etc). If you sit and think about these categories/lanes, one can usually accurately map out the last 20-30 years of what lanes they were running down and why, during that race. Also, one can see how easily tumbling into another lane can be. The human psyche is a fascinating mystery. While there are patterns and group dynamics that are predictable, every 'user' is on a unique evolving journey, similar to a hike up a dangerous mountain. Some of us can go up the mountain, stay for a while, walk on that very skinny ledge(with disaster just a heartbeat and a wrong step away,) do it for 100 miles, never blink, and easily walk back down. Others go up that mountain and feel that high, but are too afraid to come back down, so they stay paralyzed in fear withering away up there. Then there are those that go up that mountain to specifically fall off the side and be gone for good. Some do go away forever, but there are some that almost were lost forever but had experienced a miracle up there. Those guys usually end up helping anyone that is stuck , as they themselves walk down from that mountain. Complicated to say the least, either way we shouldn't be ashamed of that mountain...break time now...thanks for the response.

      Btw i have adhd too and was on ritgalin for a year. Made me feel SOOOO shitty. What helped me was eating ALOT (i have always ate little) of healthy food. Like meat, vegetables and all that shit, you know what i mean. It fills you up with reserves which feel so good! food is underrated. Also sleep ofc. And work out! work out is just amazing. It shifts your psyche so much even if you dont want it. You gotta realize alot of your feelings stems from your body! not your mind. Your mind often follows the body. Not the other way around. Its atleast limited completely by the state of your body. 5X5 strength workouts help me feel waaaaay better. Girls notice too :) not trying to preach, just sharing my expiriences. Hope your doing fine!

      ty for the reply and advice on managing adhd.

    • @thecreativebasement2454
      @thecreativebasement2454 8 лет назад

      I have always resorted to strength training anytime life seems shitty and your right, it works wonders! I just recently started taking my meds again after a year or so off of them. My marriage was suffering with out them. I am one of the lucky ones i guess because i have next to no down sides when on my meds. I can feel empty emotionally at times but ive found that staying productive helps with that. I look at my adhd not as an illness but as something that makes me unique from others. I believe that adhd is not a mistake, but an evolutionary step in the brain. Seeing the world differently and not following the pack seems to be common among those with adhd. It can make it hard to live in a society that tells us we are to be and act a certain way, when were told from a young age that there are certain steps to a happy and successful life, and as you grow up you find out that the path you were told to take is overwhelmingly difficult and boring. The amazing ideas you have are put on hold because the people around you say its not a realistic goal. And most of us will listen to that advice and struggle our whole lives trying to do what others expect of us. Never reaching our full potential. Guess that part can relate to many, not just adhders. Opps! sorry got a little worked up, i am passionate about supporting my kids to be themselves and go after their passions. Unfortunately so many creative, bright individuals with adhd are stomped out rather than being fueled to excel in their own way. Thats my 2 cents, again thanks for the reply and advice.

    they're 2 of my idols an I completely feel what your saying man. The road to mastery's a beautiful thing especially if ur born to do it like u say.. I've suffered from depression half my life an I find the main thing that keeps it subdued is working on my craft. Goodluck

      Depression sucks! Hope you get through it. I have only suffered from depression due to losing my job. I have had the worst two years of my life since losing my job. Dont get me wrong i cant begin to understand what true depression when there is no reason for it must feel like. I do know what always helped me thou, and that was Eminem. Just seeing someone do what they were obviously meant to do in this life is so so inspirational. I cant think of anything that could be more fulfilling and rewarding that finding your craft and making it your lifes work. Good luck to you.

    I agree with you on the Kratom crutch thing. I would rather be addicted to kratom than to have to live in this society sober, and like you said its not getting me high, but it elevates my neurotransmitters enough so that I feel normal. Only problem im having is I think its giving me adrenal fatigue. I like your style, liked and subbed

    That's a great idea! I have been teaching myself to use the editing tools that RUclips supplies so I'll do that.. It is pretty crazy to see that shit fly by and then watch my dog act as if he's watching something fly around. We've never experienced anything to abnormal... well actually I gotta show you tubers something now that I'm thinking about it...in the basement where I film there are the words "help me" carved into the concrete wall!! No Kidding..they were there when we moved In but that doesn't answer the question, why they were carved into the concrete in the 1st place. I'll make a video tonight and post it.

      I know it is not any sort of flying Bug. Its still very cold where I live so not many bugs at all. The only thing I can think it could be is small feathers floating around that have come out of my goose feathered down comforter. The really weird thing is that I will NEVER see them unless it is in the camera. And I spend 80% of my time in the Basement working on different projects. I have tried recreating the orb the second I notice it when filming with my phone and I cant!!
