Anyone believe that Hercules is still hot?

My almost 3 year old loves trains. He finds steam engines fascinating and adores Thomas The Tank. There are Day Out With Thomas outings where you actually get to "ride Thomas". It was actually a real steam engine painted blue with a Thomas face. They were doing sold out fully loaded 10 car train rides every 30-45 minutes. Train RUclips channels especially for kids are huge now. Toy Trains 4 u is my sons current favorite. My husband has since fallen in love with trains. The 2 will spend hours together building tracks, exploring, making train chains. The Boston (MA) museum of science has a new train exhibit. It's wildly popular and well loved by grandparents, parents, children and toddlers. There was a whole section of tables with different train layouts to play with. There was also a train you could sit in and watch the VR screen take you on different train rides to new places.

Thomas & Friends series 1-5, i still watch, when I'm ill. Even though, I've got series 1-15 on my Google account.

Great video thanks for sharing, don't put yourself down, always have a go at a repair if it successful that's good if not it's a learning curve for next time, we can all suffer with some anxiety or stress but remember that people do love you so always Ktf, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, TC John

Model railways is a very enjoyable hobby that takes you to another world be it the past or to currant ,the only thing that can stop you is your imagination . You don’t need a large layout sometimes just a small layout on a small board just shunting wagons can take you to another relaxing world .Give It a try .

Blimey, that brought back a few memories. Saw most of these people with their layouts at the annual model railway shows in the 80's (Wembley, Royal Agricultural Halls etc) - Dave Lowery, Barry Norman, Dave Lowe, Frank Dyer. Inspired me to build my own in the garden shed over the next few years.

I accept thus isn't a new programme but done of the information within it is, well, it's just wrong. Minimus workable n gauge radius and the difference between HO & OO being two that made me raise an eyebrow.

Great memories watching this again. Sad to think these layouts might all be gone now but lovely seeing them on film.

Outstanding documentary. Had the pleasure and honor to be the token "Yank" while assigned to NATO HQ London (Northwood) with the Defense Courier Service from March 1983 to October 1984. The big buzz back then in British model railroading circles was RF or Radio Frequency control which was a precursor of Digital Command Control or DCC. An incredible time to be involved with the hobby back then and grateful to have been given a ringside seat to whatness the rise of all the fantastic technology we now enjoy today which is why we all say "Model Railroading is Fun!"
