Is there a solution from GSI-Wheels to get connected on a fanatec podium hub at usb-c connector?
Do you sell these srews ? I like to buy a GSI Hyper 1 wheel and use a Fanatec Podium Hub aswell
Apparently there is an update to the product that requires more steps to accomplish removing the faceplate. Could there be an update to this video for that?
if you have the newer version, you will need to remove the 5 rotary knobs with the same size 1.5mm hex as the funky switches. There will be two connections near the top to the face and then you will need to remove the daughter board to put in the bolts.
250€ add for each wheel…. Why isn’t build that expensive part stays on base, and cheap wheel side You buy for extra wheels? 250€ for every wheel that’s insane!!!
How about Simagic quick release without extension?
Just bought a GSI FPE v1. Its here and gotta say im pumped to use it. Just waiting on parts. I have a AH50 on order from you guys along with an order of captive screws to attach the from the AH50 to the Sim lab Xero play Quick release( which seems to have threaded holes on the wheel side of the adaptor). I dont need any other hardware since the AH50 comes with hardware to attach to the wheel, and i ordered separate the captive screws to go from hub to quick release?
Very very cool man thanks!
Is there enough space between PCB and backplate to do this on the FPE V1?
Love mine!! You guys are the best to do it! Can’t wait for my hyper P1 to show up. Also that SC x FPE V2 looks amazing!
May I kindly ask what tools those are?! Just ordered my hyper p1!!
Wow, so you're adding a few extra inches of space between the wheel and the direct drive base no matter what wheel you're using? That has a huge knock on FOV. Is there no way to mount the Podium hub directly to the wheel?
Could this attach to the asetek quick release adapter? Or at that point better to go with AH-50 because that defeats the purpose of this QR?
Just ordered replacement buttons for my P1, so this is most useful; thanks!
Love your wheels. Will you also be doing this video for the formula Pro Elite V2?
Where can we buy more captive m5 screws?
Do I lose the warranty by opening the steering wheel to connect the QR? The website says that you cannot open the steering wheel. This is exactly what I'm asking about the X-29 model.
Shows you shouldn’t buy from either scum bag company
Think I'll just stick with yours lol that's alotta work.
Thanks for this! I didn't realize how easy it is to modify the buttons. I've been having a hard time hitting the order button on an item of this price without getting it right, now i know i can change my mind 😅
How do you attach this qr to a simagic alpha 15 nm wheelbase
Hey Mr Gomez. This is a long shot but may a have one of your wheels that youre not using or selling? Youre wheels are really great but its kind of hard to get one. If you can help it will be great (:
is this basically the same for adding the clutch to the x-29
Hi, so I've purchased a second wheel with the 50mm already attached, I've not received it yet but I looks like he's attached it with the threaded side down on the wheel, will it be damaged? Or will it just be ok to turn it back over and re attach. Thanks
Thank you for this video. I have just successfully joined my Hyper P1 with Fanatec Hub. When I connect it all up, how do I select hi torque? This would have normally been done via a switch combination on my old Fanatec wheel? Thank you.
Turn the wheel 90 degrees. You should see a bar fill up on your wheelbase screen. When full the high torque will be enabled.
Got an X-29 for the Asetek QR, it's brilliant. Only thing annoying me is the cable wrapped around. It would be amazing if you could offer a super short few centimeter version of your cable, so no wrap around is required. I heard you are working on a no cable version to directly integrate the QR, but without it being available through European resellers that wouldn't be an option due to tariffs etc
I have an asetek wheel base and looking to get this wheel and asetek QR. If i get the AH-50 I should be ok right?
@@mannyfresh7065 you can directly mount the wheel to the Invicta Quick Release, the AH 50 is not needed
Are you guys selling wheel side separate? I want to buy this for all of my wheels (3x)
We only sell both halves together. The wheel half is about 90% of the cost. You could repurpose the base side and make a place on your rig or wall to store the unused wheels.
@@gomezsimindustries I was just going to ask this question also and the answer makes perfect sense … appreciate it .
Does the new fanatec bases that are due for release still need these hubs? Also when will the formula elite wheel be back in stock :)
you need this with EVERY wheel that is on a fanatec base. FFB will not work without. you can look at Sim Racing Machines.. they make a cheaper and open system for it.
2:47 suspiciously specific
Can we put the male bolt on the steering wheel? If I want to change the steering wheel, do I have to buy additional QR?
You can, but this is not recommended as the QR would will then need to be pushed away to detach from the wheelbase which makes removing it difficult.
Id also like to buy the Simucube Hyper p1 bundle. But I want a QRS-1 and SC2-X adapter without having to sell the Simucube qr.
When are you guys restocking the SC2-X adapters?
They're now in stock!
So the Fanatec QR2 is out - any plans/is it possible to make a digital connection with the podium hub = no usb cable for the wheel?
Ask Fanatec...fanatec dont want that
@@EdelOss1 yea but they might feel forced too at some point. But yea I don't think in my lifetime
@@NesterowiczRacing i hope so...could be a point that people by more fanatec stuff
You paddles and clutches have a lot of play and wiggle. Typical China crap
Please make a video showing how to install a GSI50 OR 100 to a simucube wheel base, as the website suggest it can be done.
Thank you for the suggestion, this is indeed possible with an SC2-X adapter.
@@gomezsimindustries can the SQR1 be used as well? Or do you need 2 SC2-X adaptors?
@@phantomspa Assuming you mean the QRS-1? You will only ever need a single SC2-X adapter, and then you can mount any 50.8mm/70mm hub or quick release you would like directly to the Simucube wheelbase.
@gomezsimindustries I am referring to simucubes QR. I would like to mount the GSI100 To the wheel base and then to the simucube base side QR to then the wheel side QR attached the wheel itself. I'm assuming that would require 2 sc2-x adaptors?
@@gomezsimindustries ^
Are there any plans to add a simagic / moza / nrg style qr as a factory install option? I know I just watched you do it but opening the wheel up really freaks me out.
There are no plans at the moment, but we just created a video on how to mount those types of QRs from the outside using one of our hubs! Check it out: ruclips.net/video/Gwb9b8Odgx8/видео.html
When are you guys shipping the x-29?
Is this compatible with the Fanatec Club Sport Wheel Base V2
This system its for HIGH TORQUE wheels. 12, 15, 25nm. But of course, any wheels with holes for 70mm screws 6 holes will be compatible without problems. So, the answer is YES.
Guys, I'm really considering this wheel that looks amazing, but you need to think it a bit more future proof when designing it, extra paddles upgrade on CSX is just plug and play you don't need to open half of the wheel to make them work :( I'm definitely looking for a wired QR so we get rid of the big connector on back
yup it's not for everyone. 99.5% of customers buy the 6 paddle option anyways. For a wired QR you can think to couple your wheel with a Asetek solution. Happy racing! 🙂
@@gomezsimindustries thank you very much for your fair and fast answer, could you tell me more about asetek solution? Do I need asetek DD ? Or do you mention a QR system from them ?
@@TheSoldiersid3 yes you will indeed need there base to run there QR. Here is a link showing how it works ruclips.net/video/TTqzLekO7Uw/видео.html
are these additional paddles the same as the ones fitted on a factory order 6 paddle HP1? they look slightly shorter from the online images
Yes we reduced their size based on a better reach / activation. Updated pics to the website soon-ish
Can you do it before you shipped the wheel i do be so stressed out to do it myself
Yes, absolutely! When purchasing the wheel itself, there will be an option on the product page that lets you purchase the Podium Hub directly from us, as well as a checkbox to let us know to install it for you. =)
Let's goo
How many positions do the rotary have ?
16 each with a push button function as well
My heart says yes My wallet says NO
Looks like it will cost the price of a small car.
Nice!
According to your website it has 310mm diameter. As it's called "Formula Pro Elite" I would expect a smaller diameter. Lewis Hamilton uses a 280mm rim, as well as Ferrari F1 as far as I know. Does anyone know about Formula 2 or 3?
To me it looks the right size and is perfect for gt3 cars
I'm really looking at this wheel as upgrade over my cube controls sport wheel. Send one to SRG for review and if all goes well I'd order. I know a lot of people look to SRG before buying any products related to sim racing so it would probably be a huge boost for your company.
Im not really sure why because it looks to me like he never really says anything bad about anything. He likes everything.
@@chrisjohnson261 He never makes a decisive good or bad decision for you. He is very detailed in showing the product and lets you make your own decision which I prefer. Take a look at the CSL Universal Hub review he did in February if you want to hear him make some negative comments.
@@Jeff-ec4km I don't want to hear him make negative comments I want to know he's a real person. What does he not like. I wouldn't let my subscribers waste their money. That's all I'm saying.
@@chrisjohnson261 I think there are plenty of reviewers on the internet who give a number grade or decide yes or not for you. SRG is very detailed, more so than almost anyone and provides you enough info to make your own decision. Something that is a deal breaker to him might not be a big deal to someone else. I prefer his review style to any other reviewer. It's pretty clear that a lot of people agree otherwise his channel wouldn't be so successful.
@@Jeff-ec4km hey I get it. He really can't give a hard pass on anything. Especially the really tiny companies that could possibly pay dearly for a final word like that. Wouldn't want to damage anyone's feelings or possibly hurt a partnership on some kind. I get it. Reviews/No Ratings. Sounds grear.
Unboxing and review, please!
Can u use it with uv-light ?
shame on me but are there any informations about compatibility with wheel bases?
Are all buttons and switches back lit?
