Shane is among several western masterpieces. My personal favorites are Stagecoach (1939), the film that moved the genre from two reels to theatrical powerhouses, and The Wild Bunch, Sam Pekinpah’s reinterpretation of the western genre.

I get the impression that "mainstream" physics does not care for Dr. Meyer's observations. Though I am not a Christian, I find that he is well worth listening to.

One of my top all time, 3 westerns ever made fantastic plot, fantastic actors and a musical theme that people could never forget.

And in less than 8 minutes, we get the characters, the stakes, who's in conflict and what their goals are. Right down to the characterization of each person. Each line MEANS something. The line, "I'd like it to be my idea." shows his temperament and he's not open to being pushed around. So when he comes back around the house to stand against the bullies, it already seems in character.

This is my first Western movie tobe watched. I am 44 but i still remember every scene of the movie. " come back Shane" make me tears still today

In the past nothing can be altered, and in the present little, but the future is ours and capable of raising life’s intensity to its highest pitch.” If you can’t tune into what the Bible is saying, and most people can’t these days, then I recommend a Jungian scholar like David Tacey but you will never understand the Bible by following a Biblical scholar like Bart Ehrman.
