Crime prevention unit was not a decade, and it only came with the driver’s Unity post spotlight, and emergency was not a decal, as well as Police below the City of Los Angeles decals. The rest is immaculate, however attempt to research, it’s very easy now with all the technology, because you’ve got one of the very best LAPD unit that I’ve ever seen while working with USBP in San Diego & Los Angeles from 1986-1991, we had to assist during riots & severe incidents, they rode with us because we had much better equipment & our airships were all Ranger II’s & new Blackhawks issued to USBP & US Customs Air & Marine ( before USDHS) we were under USDOJ & Customs was dept of the Treasury, in 2004 we were under USDHS USBP & US Customs was CBP Customs Border Protection, so our pilots maintained yearly flight hours in only two months flying over LA & San Diego, but it was great working with those true professionals and their traditions such as their black & white LAPD patrol cars. Inside that is a MDT Mobil data terminal, and it takes 4 small antennas just to operate that MDT, it’s hooked up through a mainframe stand alone system that typically only hooks up to the city and maybe the county, but it became obsolete when we began using Motorola laptops with encryption to Police servers of information, but nowadays they’re allowed to hook up to the same icons as civilians in their homes. Federal agencies still don’t allow this on their new laptops, but thank you so much for that exquisite Police car, I never new it was so revered around your part of the globe? God Speed, my friend.
Beautiful car, I retire in 7 months after 37 years, but if you’re interested in should have 4 small antennas usually on the roof when you have a MDT mobile data terminal, the item that looks like an old fashioned laptop. We use it to run plates, Driver’s licenses, and we get a stack of calls from the 911 operators, plus we can communicate only with other Police who have our frequency of MDT.
this lightbar has installed a speaker in the middle of it, very Convenient, our manufactory specializing in this areas for 30 years, feel free to talk about it with you guys
I hear this song and just wanna take a drive along the beach party and have a good time. I was a kid back when this squad car was in service but I'm sure it saw it's good and bad days especially being apart of LAPD in the 80s and 90s.
Good evening,You can tell me how to install belt and gears for a Federal Signal Aerodynic Model 24,if you have a video or a photo it would help me thank you
Great car their friend! I love these old 9C1 Caprices. I really can't get into the 2011+ though. The ugly rear end on them just kills it for me. The front end of them on the other hand are stylish and very intimidating looking. I don't think I'll get one of them, but then again that may change? When I rode around with my local police department on ride a longs in Phoenix, Arizona I always tried to make sure I got one of the newer 1991-1995 9C1 Caprices we had instead of being stuck with the boxy Caprices. Then I got one of the boxy Caprices for my self and ended up falling for the boxy ones ever since. I've owned three of these LT1 Caprices, 1994 from the City of Chandler, typical white exterior with the Adriatic blue interior and my 1995 Caprice with a factory Red Burgundy metallic exterior with gray interior that came from Pierce County Sheriff's Department and was stationed at the South Hill Precinct up in Washington state. In fact if you ever watch COPS that was filmed with Pierce County in the late 1990's up til 2000 I hope by chance that I'll find my Caprice up there because they only had a few metallic red units in there that you can literally count with your fingers there. My first LT1 came from The City of Phoenix that I bought in 1999. It had a white exterior with the blue Adriatic interior. After selling it I sadly regretted it so because I can have one 1995 Caprice that I named Ruby. My 1990 9c1 came with a white exterior and tan interior in it. It as well has the 350 in it. That unit came from the Maricopa County Sheriff's Department and bought it back in 1995. When I went to take back the 90 Caprice to fix some shoddy paint and body work a guy did screwed up on the work and he just left it in a total ugly condition and kept giving me excuse after excuse that he would have it ready by the following Monday. That went on for almost six months. So it really needs a new paint job thanks to him and I plan on finding a good place to do it when I can. I bought most NOS parts for it to go back on when I reassemble it after I get the new paint job. Currently Im trying to buy another 1995 LT1 that came from my home town here from City of Phoenix and was just recently retired this past summer of 2014 with 90 thousand miles on it. Both are on the my waiting list until I get a better job with more money coming in to restore them both.
5/5 Hát...ahogy szokták mondani, ez aztán odabasz! Egyébként is a Caprice az egyik kedvenc autóm, a mai műanyag szarok nem tudnak lázba hozni. Gyerekkorom amerikai filmjeit idézi. Irigyellek. Kösz, hogy felraktad papa! Üdv.
there are a few tiny details that aren't quite right... one, the quotes around "to protect and serve" - the first ones are down low like double-commas, i guess that's a Hungarian thing, and also genuine LAPD cars have steady-burn red and blue lights on the far edges of the front of the lightbar (turned off on this one, maybe they're flashing when turned on?) and amber on the far edges in back (properly added here, but turned off)
WOW! That looks like a genuine LAPD Caprice! How did it end up in Hungary? I fondly remember photographing one of these in L.A. back in 1989. Very cool car! I think there should be a meet of genuine US police cars in Europe. So many have surfaced in the past few years. Thanks for the vid!
PLEASE HELP! do you know where i can find new caprice emblems/badges?? i have an 89 9c1, im going to get it painted and want to replace all the old emblems...i got a new hood ornament for it
Really nice job man, GREAT CAR. I've always loved the Caprice, although I must admit that I prefer the '93-'96 models. Unfortunately there is STILL a flaw with your car. In California, every emergency response agency, be it fire, medical, or police, must have a solid red light (not flashing) facing front when code 3. Otherwise, FANTASTIC JOB!
I love this car very nice👍👍👍
Reminds me of the police academy cars. Best light bar they ever done would love one here in the uk
All the way down to the shotgun mounted. 🤣👍
Super music police car 🚗
Ich liebe T.j.Hooker

Hello Péter, nagyon jól néz ki! Üdv Svájcbol
very nice , what pattern is that
It is the out to centre pattern. It was more commonly used with CA police cars like this.
Hi! I also own 9c1 Caprice in LAPD paint scheme but mine is '90 :-) Do You still have this car as this clip has been published while ago...?

hi, pictures song from scotch band, it is the very full and complet information. :) regards
Oh, I see! Still, very cool to own a genuine 9C1 and a cool history being an embassy car. I was fooled about it being an LAPD unit, nice work!
This car was a not original LAPD car. This 9C1 car was in used for American embassy and I changed it demanding and precise.
