Video comparison of the original Black Pearl Bloody Ocean by Legends and the SWAG Black Pearl Treasure performed by California Bowling National Amateur Staffer Ryan Peebles. “Both balls have the same core/cover tandem with the same true two-piece construction for the highest coefficient of restitution. The differences are in the hues, setups, and surface. Enjoy!”

Video review of the new SWAG Incredible! Phenom by California Bowling Regional Amateur Staffer Ryan Peebles “I made a small error on the layout for the SWAG Archive Solid. It was 70* x 3 1/2” x 20*, NOT the 60* x 3 1/2” x 20* that I stated in this video. Even so, there is a notable difference in overall reaction versus the Phenom!” - Ryan

What bowling shoes are you wearing?
They were specially made for me by Hollmark Shoes.
So What Is The Name Of This Bowling🎳Alley Place Called
Twin Star Port Clinton in Port Clinton, Ohio.
@@ryanpeebles4992 Since you look over 50 ? You ever bowl the Hoinke in Cincinnati? A group of us Region Rats from Indiana used to shoot it around August for years. Then they ruined it with the handicap change.
If I get back to bowling I'll have look into the Goat.😅
I thought this video was going to be about Walter Ray 😄
@@richciruelas8336, in terms of OVERALL PBA titles (National and Regional), yes.
Me too
This core is designed for no thumb bowlers Who have much higher rev rate than this demonstration When I throw a Buzzer Beater (with my 500+ rev rate) it's much more angular and aggressive off the spot. so without charging the core with rev's it's a different ball tends to Roll out with that 350 rev rate demonstrated here. Regional Staffer California Bowling Southeast
The Goat looks fantastic!
Thank you!
Looks Good, love the Big Bro series.
Glad you like them!
@@ryanpeebles4992 Have bought Legends and Lane Master balls for a long time. I live in Ohio to people always said what are those balls, never heard of them. Glad Swag started making Bloody Ocean Line.
Thank you as always for your reviews, especially to see the comparison with the Zero.
My pleasure!
A 3.5 in” pin is NOT maximum flip. It’s quite the opposite. 3.5 is almost the strongest the ball can be, meaning it will be earlier and smoother, definitely not flippy
Try a 5” pin if you wanna see a ball actually flip
A 3 1/2” is undoubtedly one of the strongest flare positions, but where the preferred spin axis (PSA, also known as the mass bias) is placed ALSO affects ball reaction. In this case I put the mass bias on this asymmetrical ball in the thumb. When the migrating axis (starting from my positive axis point, or PAP) crosses the line running from the pin to the PSA, the ball starts to rev up. On this layout, the ball will rev up in the later midlane. Also the vertical axis line (VAL) angle is only 20 degrees. This will promote the sharpest breakpoint. And when you drill the PSA in the thumb, the performance differential increases substantially. This ball has a high undrilled radius of gyration (RG), and after drilling, it will be even higher. With my lower revs, softer speed, and high tilt, this ball will clear the heads, rev up late, and break sharply. I can further enhance the overall shape by smoothing the coverstock or even polishing it. The pin to PAP distance affects flare, but the MB to PAP distance affects how soon the ball rolls on the lane.
Seems a little smooth but still good reaction.
the clarity you bring to your subjects is beyond impressive!
You're killing those strikes
Looks like too much side roll.
Love the motion as well - and the ideas you put into the video. Brought me back a bit seeing Mark Roth and Earl Anthony!
Thank you!
Nice ball motion.
Thank you!
LessssGooooo Ryan🔥
looks like another good ball from swag to bad they dont have any ball staffers on the pba tour that could get on a tv show
Love this ball. Even when I missed it outside the ball recovered well!!!!!
I’m buying this ball
For solids, do you see this slotting in between the Fantasy Daze and the Swagger Bomb?
Yes, it’s not as strong as the Daze in terms of coverstock, but the Blaze has a stronger core than the Bomb.
Congratulations sir i also a staff member going on 5 years now
CONGRATULATIONS BUDDY! SWAG FAMILY...
Congrats!
Now that you have had time with this ball as well as the buffalo, which do you like better? Could you please compare and contrast the two of them?
Ryan---Did you get ball speed down lane at camera? Good video!
Ah, forgot about that! I can estimate the exit speed to be around 14.5 mph…
Ryan---What's your ball speed back end camera with 14's? Any change? Thanks Scott
On my next review (which is in a matter of days), I’ll check the exit speed…
@@ryanpeebles4992 Thanks Ryan!
I already can't get one. It's sad.
Love the ball motion
That looks like a versatile ball that is relatively predictable. I love how it doesn't over react to the friction the way some balls do. It also looks like it finishes strong through the pins. I could see this being a first ball out of the bag to feel out the lanes a little quicker. Great video. Keep em coming.
Love the way those balls do what they are meant to. Now I'm contemplating a purchase of the show off. Love that blue and green.
Ball is very strong! I think the speed dominant bowlers are gonna love this thing!
Looks really good! Might get one of these as a step down from my Blizzard Zero!
That's I awesome, I play 10 to 5
I have the SWAG The Black Pearl Treasure great ball I want the SWAG The Black Pearl Bloody Ocean.
Like the way the ball rolls and hits . Going to go and check it out right now.
Thank God for the Volume control, damn that music is irritating!
When urethane is in play, this is first out of the bag. If I need a little more, I go Big Bro Burn Up LE, if I need less, Iron Diamond.
if you do something wrong long enough even that works....
This will definitely be added to the arsenal.
It's goooood. Throwing it during league tonight. :)
What is restitution?
In physics, it’s the resumption of an object's original shape or position through elastic recoil. Also known as the “coefficient of restitution"…
@@ryanpeebles4992 Thanks Ryan
Ryan - thanks for making these videos! (I like the music as well) I have just recently started checking out SWAG balls and they look pretty darn good! I'm saving up for a Pure Fantasy as I think it would make for a nice benchmark type ball for me. Also, you are the only reviewer I've come across that has specs similar to mine. 3-3/4 R, 5/16 U; and around 20 degrees tilt; also high rotation but that varies depending on how the lanes are playing. Finally, I can get a comparable look at what a ball might do for me =)
Much appreciated… thanks so much!
Keep it man I also regional staffer you do great reviews
Absolutely, and thank you so much!
You think this is a good option for slow speed players with low revs?
It can be with the right surface and layout. If you know your PAP coordinates, you can set this ball up precisely to your game… then make surface adjustments if necessary.
pքɾօʍօʂʍ 🌺
The Maniac hits HARD!
When does that get released?
WWRD is October 10th…
@Ryan Peebles can you list your bowling stats. Ryan? Revs, tilt, axis rotation, ball speed off hand or back end? And the lane condition you are bowling on length, volume ml, and ratio. That would be helpful. Thanks Scott
Very good suggestions. I will try to get that info in future clips… thanks!
@@ryanpeebles4992 Thanks Ryan. I really like the look of the SWAG Dynamite Max!
But to give you an idea of my specs: Around 300 RPM About 20 degrees of tilt About 45 degrees rotation Average speed of 14.5 MPH The pattern is a typical house shot (42 feet in length) with about 23 ml at the crown. Not exactly sure of the ratio, but it is at least the 8:1 standard. Hope this helps!
@@ryanpeebles4992 Very much thanks Ryan!
Question for you how do you think this ball would work for senior bowlers with 12 mph speed low / high revs ???
The harder coverstock will help get the ball down the lane compared to most of the others on the market with hardness ratings closer to 74 Durometer. The lower the number, the softer the cover… meaning more surface contact with the lane and more grip. As far as layouts go, Mo Pinel said the short pin layout will work for senior citizens and high rev players who like to stay on the right side of the lane for right handed bowlers and vice versa for lefties. Bottom line: this ball would be a great choice!
@@ryanpeebles4992 Thanks for your information
I bought the Black Pearl Treasure 3 weeks ago, just can't decide what layout I want. Right now it has a 70 x 3 3/4 x 20 drawn on it. Just don't have an ASYM layout I like yet. (Love Swag Bowling Balls and Legends)
This is similar to that layout… but my horizontal PAP coordinate is shorter than normal (4 1/4” right compared to the standard 5”).
