I have this model and took it as my first stereo project of TPA3118 but i notice an audible hum buzzing noise it is powered by 16volts lithium, how dd u remedy the noise, likewise if you notice the two small hole with vol+ indication, have u tried plugging in a potentiometer?

I was less lucky. I have got a seemingly identical board only with 330 inductors instead of 100. I did not do any abuse like on the video. No soldering of a live circuit etc. Soldered everything carefully then connected 18V from lab power supply. Bluetooth led started to blink, 150mA current draw. The speakers made a little click. Everything perfectly normal. Then suddenly after circa 5 seconds PS indicated maximum current (it was set to 3.5A). I turned it off, but after that the board is just short circuited. Nothing works, everything indicates short circuit including speaker outputs. I connected 5V to bluetooth section capacitor and it appears to work normally. Blue led blinked, I could connect the phone and use bluetooth. So it is probably the amplifier chip that failed. Maybe one the capacitors, but I would not count on that too much. I suspect the chip TPA3118 may be not genuine.

the load ohms was right but the board got limited by the wattage the speaker can take.... the best match for this amplifier was an 6ohm 10 watts speaker
