blackmagic pyxis x sigma 24 105 f 4

my 24-70 has been buggin a bit, not sure why, but i found this 24-105mm for $600 CAD and had to snag it. Gonna be great for the hockey games ive been shooting. First time ive seen the vignetting on the ND like this but i guess thats open gate for ya... not shocking, justa bit of crop. Plus the weird what may look like the X pattern i believe is just the mix of the polarizer of the VND mixed wit...

Stepping up to the pyxis is just another step and a fun upgrade for myself, there will ALWAYS be a spot in my bag for the sony mirrorless cams. cheers, Jarod

it's really beautiful on my full hd screen:)))
beautiful work!
Congrats. As a tip going forward, you should light your set to highlight you products better. That Pyxis box sitting off to the side, when you first held it up, and the other items are all underexposed and uninteresting. Definitely give them some more shine! Congratulations again!
Hey! Great video!! I have the same camera but shoot mostly on laowa 9mm. This is due to the homes I shoot are really tiny so shooting on a 16-35 with the 4k crop just doesn’t work. I use the rs3 pro gimbal, bought the iPhone mount and I could not balance it at all so gave up, any tips to make it work? It’s driving me crazy shooting the same house three times, once for photos, once for landscape video and again for vertical reel!!
Thanks for the video! I love your gear and setup. I would love more behind the scenes of your real estate shoots... your "shot list", thought process at a property, speed ramping technique, etc.
@@JustinClayton thanks so much dude! Ill add it to my list to make a full video soon!

Yes, the 'x' pattern is caused by the VND combination of filters (which inn the case of the Nisi are two linear polarizers) and the angle of incident light. But there is a solution to that: you can unscrew the Nisi VND a little and rotate it until de 'x' pattern disappears; then you screw it again. The advantage of the Freewell K2 VND is that you can rotate both linear polarizers independently (you don't need to unscrew the VND). With the rotation of one linear polarizer filter you control de amount of light you get through (ND function). With the other linear polarizer you control the eventual polarization that the first movement could introduce. Since in the case of the Nisi you only have one rotation control, you must unscrew it a little to be able to rotate it to get the polarization effect needed to eliminate de unwanted 'x' pattern. Hope this is useful.

Coming from a Sony guy most of my career, I ended up getting the Pyxis and I've been loving it! 6k open gate, the ability to rig it out, the color science, and with this form factor it mounts easily on my gimbal. Also I totally get what you mean about it BM being more fun to use.
Heck yesss!! Me as well, like exactly lol
Did you leave something at the end of the timeline and forget to set in/out for the export? 😂
@@ma-scalia8629 bahaha yes 🤣
Which camera should I buy to shoot cinematic videos
There is just so many options! My best advice would be do your research and see what would be the best fit for you. Canon and Sony are great entry point and you can work your way up through their camera system as you gain experience.
Are you using the 24-70 L mount or the EF with an adapter? thanks!
I’m using the Canon EF mount one using the Sigma MC 21 adapter. I’m actually quite impressed with how well it all sits together.
@@UnionCreativeHouse does IS works properly? I have the regular 6K full frame and IS glitches, and sometimes lens looses communication…
