Use wood ashes sparingly in your compost...no more than a dusting on each layer..no more than 1/2 cup per bushel. It is a strong alkalinizing agent and also increases soil salinity. The microorganisms that break down the organic materials like a slightly acidic condition and wood ashes would reduce their number. Excessive amounts of wood ashes result in loss of nitrogen from the pile. - Sue Miles

You know I have gotten to the point where I don't support anything the church does anymore. Since so much corruption has been seen in those in charge of the church. It seems the church have long gotten out of the business of being the spiritual leaders. But I am more spiritual than ever. I don't think the church has any right to tell us how we should live.

i respect your perspective, and i'm not saying that gay marriage shouldn't be allowed necessarily, but it is a church function that unfortunately i think can become heavily politicized.

I beg to differ. No one should interfere with two adults wanting to get married. We need to love all of humanity unconditionally, even if we do not agree with their life style as long as they are not hurting anyone.

The Staff Seargant was right on the money on all counts! Most importantly "following the Constitution"....if we did that all else would fall into place naturally!

Strikeaction7, I understand your frustration. I don't have all the facts, but I suspect, that the primary focus, most efficient use of energy, time, money is to put the message out. Perhaps others have opinions on this issue. Good question.
