@@dr.chaotic5153 bruh I like the idea but that's 7 basic chords in a key, 7 arpeggio positions for each, 12 keys - 7 x 7 x 12, and then each chord has like 14 theoretical extensions that are all their own arpeggio. It's better to learn how to arpeggiate rather then every single arpeggio

Man, I appreciate ya - and your ideas. Honestly I'll tell you - about 4 years ago I could play average guitar - chords and pentatonic, and when lockdown hit I was like dammit. I'm gonna solve this. I hunted for ages - like how to shred, whatever anything and - a single reddit comment said "stop being lazy and learn arpeggios" and it changed everything, they are the key. It's what I'm doing in like all my songs, so I can only give you the same advice man, arpeggios are the secret, it's the language of the guitar

@@dr.chaotic5153 then after arpeggios is chord extensions, scales - but always to accentuate the chords, that's why arpeggios is the focus - it's playing the chords in solo form

@@zanec.2049 Not even close to classical style, is prog. Too flashy to be classical style, the only thing that can be remotely classical is the chord progressions used, but even then they are more jazzy tan classical.

It is music with borrowed "effects" and "ornamentations" from classical music, but with no structure. But even in terms of continuation of the progressive rock, Polyphia is just dabbling. You can't compare that with music of Romantisict / postromanticist composer such as Albeniz. Where "rock" bands got things upside down is due to their ignorance: they dumb down classical music to suit American neo-folk music such as rock, while the classical music uses folk music to uplift it to the classical level of coherence and composition. That is what Albeniz was doing. Polyphica can't do that in million years.
