Kanata Katagiri, student of legendary downhill specialist & rally driver Takumi Fujiwara, himself driving a 86 & having a uncanny, godly power in him whenever his hands touch the steering wheel, turning an underpowered car monstrous. Just like Ryosuke said back in stage 1, "It's not the car but the driver is a monster of legends". When this song starts in the background & the 86 goes sideways, my heart pounded suddenly like it did back in 2005 when I started this anime. Pure nostalgia ❤

I dunno, Bunta wants Takumi to struggle a little bit before he self discovers the answer but when Takumi learned that he needed to rev it higher than he was accustomed to from someone else, Bunta got upset.
