I like old Minecraft, but i know that I'm actually nostalgic to my younger self... Even if I was stupid and couldn't get to make myself to do something more that play my life, i was happy

there's so much ATMOSPHERE. unlike new versions. they are soulless

back when the world still felt enchanted.. it really feels like a bad joke how everything went downhill from there.

IMHO, this new song doesn't fit these nostalgic screenshots. I'd rather put Dry Hands, Living Mice or Key from Minecraft Volume Alpha on the background.

I also like the Sandboxy feeling of the more clunkier version of this game if you know what i mean. The advanced lighting is alsmost a disadvantage of sorts.

I love this game so much and its funny that i got it for free in 2011 in a USB stick and the classmate just gave it to me and he didnt even say what it was. Turning this game on and popping in a beta 1.4 world was a very unique and odd expirience.

Back in the time when nothing makes sense, it was the most happiest time :[ (And I have never played Minecraft)

I wonder how much RUclipsrs broke the idea that you don't need to be perfect and buildings doesn't need to make sense but be fun! It could have also impacted creativity and self esteem of players that untruerly follow the norm manipulated by successful builds shared by others. Local communities shenanigans were better being not impacted by global Internet average player profile that needs to be obeyed. (It was probably formed by popular content creators beating more creative ones blending the minecraft comunity into world average grey profile that is boring and not creative. Well it doesn't need to be like that that's not evolution but just a game!) I also heard few years ago that mojang is deleting videos with ugly builds. It's a shame on them because it really does remove the fun and non linearity from the game. Minecraft is more serious and formal than it was for no reason hurting it's creativity.

Early Minecraft was… Strangely comforting. I refuse to get into the tired argument of if modern Minecraft is any better or worse, but early Minecraft had a strange feeling of comfort. The limited block pallet, the low-res, 16x16 textures, the not smooth lighting making every block from the light source progressively darker with a very clear and distinct border between each, and that, well… No one would really build well. Sure, many just didn’t care about making intricate, fancy builds, but the build style of the early years has made its place in the game’s history.

All I miss is the enjoyment I got from the game and the awesome time I had with friends there. But I can't go back, as it was quite much the only good I had in life for a while. Gaming, Minecraft and GTA. I have so much more now than I had back then. I want to see these old places back with the friends who were there too. That is my nostalgia.

It's like yesterday. Time goes so fucking fast like a rocketship. But yeah, I liked minecraft because you have a lot of possibilities to create, do , explore. But yeah still after finishing the game almost entirely no more motivation to play. Enjoying times I had, and move on. I cannot stay playing minecraft all day, and just found something more exciting and funny to do which is not like work, and that gives also more freedom. But it's of course way harder than playing minecraft. 24 years old nostalgia hitted hard watching this video, thanks I feel the joy I had (The best one was the first time I was able to play minecraft demo on a tablet in the very begginings of minecraft, that was so fucking cool. I didn't had any tech comparing to others to play minecraft earlier. I even played a minecraft test version in pc because I didn't had money and don't asked parents for it.

I don’t know about anyone else, but 2013 was a really good year for me, even outside of Minecraft. No year since has come close to it. For having such a simple artistic style, Minecraft can be surprisingly pretty. It’s all just blocks and simple colors, but it is surprisingly good at evoking the natural beauty of the Earth.

Been going through a kind of nostalgic depression since earlier this week, this is just adding to the fire. If time travel was ever invented and we could genuinely go back in time, the first thing I'd do is go back to my childhood and try to re-kindle the magic of not just early Minecraft, but that 2000s to mid-2010s nostalgia I'm constantly attacked by.

Why does this say 2013? Whoever made this doesn't know anything about this period of Minecraft. Someone who experienced Minecraft between the years of 2009 to 2013 would know this is 2011 and 2012 pocket edition.
