Hi, thanks for detailed video. I had Cummins onan 7500 with kubota 3 cylinder engine. The gen was a few years working with no major issues until now that get high rev all the times and I had not find the way to restore normal RPMs for work. When I started it go to full acceleration and I had to cut the fuel for turn off. Could be the rack governor loose in any way and stuck in high RPM? Any advice? Thanks.
Did you install 6mm plungers or does it come with 6mm from factory? I was under the impression it was 5.5mm plungers? Thanks
1105’s are stock with 5.5’s, no one knows what or where the 6’s are made for.
What kind of gears do you all run
I was watching your video and thanks for doing it. My G4200 started with a leak on the manifold for the injection pump. I replaced the gasket but still had the same leak plus picked up a leak on one of the injectors. I replaced the two "O" rings on the injector and installed another gasket. I still have the leak, it loks like it might be oil with gas coming out. The motor tries to start a little but never does run plus the leak comes out at the gasket. Is there a chance that I am pressurizing the motor due to an injection pump leak and forcing the oil-gas out? Hopefully you will have the time to assist me.
I have a 4 cylinder perkins with a similar injection pump. I'm getting fuel in the oil. I've changed the fuel shut off solenoid, all the injectors and have had no luck. It doesn't have an ounce of blow by so I don't think its a cracked/hole in a piston. My last shot at trouble shooting is the O-rings on the outside of the barrel port that mates with the injection pump case. Do you think that a broken O-ring could be the cause of fuel in the oil? Thanks
I have the same thing already with two the same pumps 4 cyl, think it is a common issue for this pumps, i changed the orings but still its leaking on top and in the motorhouse. I did not find a solution and bought an other pump
The vertical slot on the plunger. I have a zexel that is similar, do you mean that the vertical slot goes opposite of the fuel inlet? Essentially opposite of the slide.

Much easier with a lathe so you can get an even cut. But I'd say regardless only so much can pass the top regardless so it probly don't make allot of difference. Would like to know what all i can do in order to get more power and how far I can go without blowing it apart on a daily run garden tractor

I need to replace the two o-rings on the barrel/plunger housing. Squirting fuel. Can I do this with the pump still installed in the machine? I can’t tell if that roller lifter in the bottom of the pump is attached to the barrel housing.

was the last guy that turned over ok after that also i would love to work on a team and the people that make the rules for the diesel class and see what a couple of rule changes would hurt or make the class more fun for both drivers and the fans one of the main changes should be eeasy and not cost a bunch to do
Thanks just the information i was looking for. I soaked a seized denso pump for three days in a heated ultra sonic cleaner. Finally got everything freed up enough to tear down. Got back to assembling everything and forgot which way the plunger went into the barrel! Its off a older Mitsubishi k3a engine. So my parts are a little different but i get the idea. Mine also has a mechanical cold start fast idle feature.
Is that a 14 hp ??

Yes. The barrel holders have o rings top and bottom that seal against the pump body.
Can the barrel holders be removed to replace the o rings without having to remove the whole pump and dismantle it

I know this is late but do you know how to turn this pump up or can it done .also what about injection timing on this pump. Not a whole lot out there on this pump.
I have a video listed on spill tube timing. If you want more fuel you can remove the screw that limits rack travel on the block. The other thing is turning the barrel holders cc but the pump will need to be calibrated after doing that.

Would that be the screw with the tamper resistant cap on end of for block on front of engine
@@danielboyd9507 one should be just under the injection pump bottom bolts that hold the pump in. It’s been a while but next to the fuel solenoid some models may have limited rack travel there too.

That looks great doesn’t look like it’s gonna be that hard. I know they’re too hard to do it on my life that’s why I had to grind it. Appreciate the info and I will see what I can do with it.

Where can i get the alignment pins missing 2 of them?
Very helpful but in the bottom of my rollers I have two 95 shims and a 10 shim does it matter which way they go or what part of the pump they go in like a visit 1 2 or 3

Nick Voss if you take shims out you advance timing. No shims will probably put you in the mid 20s. Stock should be in the 19 area.
