Where was this taken from please? Tried to see the comet from East Yorkshire, UK looking west after sunset but no success!
If you have a smartphone with autoexposure and hi iso ability (light sensitivity) you need to use that: and stary zoomed-out and point it mostly due West and expose and look for it in your photo and then if there is a land-mark (that the comet is above) then you can use that to help point your telescope - but you may capture it this way.
it was taken close to Bremen, Indiana
Well the comet too, by now has diminished a lot in brightness, so if you haven't yet imaged it, may be too difficult now: unless you have a calibrated German equatorial mount and/or a rasa scope mounted.
