NRITYANGAN DANCE ACADEMY was established in the year 2002 at Halisahar Barindra Goli, North 24 Parganas, West Bengal. It started its journey under an expert supervision and choreography of Mrs. Sarmistha Bhattacharya (Ghoshal). Mrs. Sarmistha Bhattacharya is a M.A (Political Science) and a Gold Medalist in Kathak. She was a student of Pandit Birju Maharaj, Pandit Om Prakash Maharaj, Pandit Rajendra Gangani, Mrs. Madhumita Roy, Pandit Thankumunikutti, Pandit Kohinoor Sen Borat, Pandit Arup Ghosh. She had also attended several Dance workshops all across India. She was a repertory member of Padatik Dance Academy.
