I also think ChromeOS is the best OS for minimalists, I've been using it on a 16gig ram i7 intel surface pro, it has better touch support than windows, really nice OS. I also use a lot the Linux vm for web dev

PortProton впервую очередь разработан для нас, русских геймеров, поскольку из-за санкций, есть не малая вероятность того что Microsoft сделает использование Windows в России и Беларуси невозможным и таким образом русские геймеры не лишатся возможности играть в свои любимые игры. Лично я играл на Xbox, до него ПК, у меня не было, и недавно из-за санкций, я решил уйти на ПК и Linux, я играю на свободном дистрибутиве Linux Mint и использую PortProton для игр. Качаю игры с торрента, тем более это морально оправдано (с вашей точки зрения вряд ли это оправдано, но мы русские такой народ, если нам не дают чем-то пользоваться или что-то купить, то мы этим овладеем и будем пользоваться без разрешения правообладателей). Лично я сделал из своего ПК игровую консоль, кинул HDMI кабель к телевизору, и играю лёжа на кровати с DualSence в руках. Западные издатели игр показали свое реальное отношение к русским, и вот точно так же и я повернусь к ним своей пятой точкой и буду присваивать их интеллектуальную собственность в свое личное владение без их разрешения. Да здравствует Россия!
